Thanks Fellas...
Can't sell the apsecs cause I never make up my mind so I either have em on my car, or have em on my girls' accord. Plus, I never sell stock wheels!

Super happy with the stance right now...

Thanks all...picked up grill today...WOW, amazing how much nicer a professional paintjob looks than my rattle can paintjob. I mean, NIGHT AND Day on the finish. Wait till you see it on the car.

Also, considering going back to my Type S lights...kinda miss the red tying in my tag and having SOME color on the car. Also, ordered some new thicker blue anodized lugs...wanted them to stand out a little more than the gorilla locks(and they were scratched up badly).

My confusion comes and goes...lol...just figured out if I get bored of the black on black I can always powdercoat the WORKS another cool color. SO...I'll be keeping them, at least for now.

Glad to hear that you like the grill

The good thing about keeping parts around is that you can change them around whenever you want and it doesn't cost anything! I did that with my smoked license plate cover two months ago. I took it off to switch up the look a bit and now I'm getting ready to put it back on.

Powdercoat the Works teal! I think that would look dope with the rest of your car black. Then again I'm one of those people who LOVE the crazy colored wheels fad going on right now. If not teal, then gunmetal. My opinion on that is a bit bias though

dude...you don't know how close to home you're hitting with that comment...I don't know if I could COMMIT to such a drastic color although I would LOVE It.

look up a member named Nitrous and look at threads started by him...he's the guy that rolled my fenders on Monday and got me to "man up" and put the spacer on and end up with a +25 offset rear and +35 front...he's had every single color and he's got something in the works now that I think you would LOVE.

and PS...I totally agree with you Tyler...about keeping parts.
I had bought a set of cleared headlights for 150 but ended up changing my mind about them...sold them back...I should have kept them...would have been nice to have a backup set of lights and some with non blacked out ones for when I want to switch back to stock.

Other than that...I've kept everything!

Do it! A dark teal would be awesome.

Ideally I want a set identical to these:

So yummy

Yeah I've seen ALL of Nitrous's threads and I love them. The Midori Green VS-XX were my favorites. I would have bought them from him if I could have afforded them.

How did the fender rolling go? I need to get mine done before the wheels and spacers go on the car. I'll be +25 in the rear as well but +30 up front.

Yeah, that's the color I had in mind too...I love it. But I probably won't go that route!

It was smooth sailing...believe it or not the +35 up front gave me more of a headache than the +25 rear...the rears were fine after the rolling...the fronts I had to roll myself (because I didn't anticipate needing to do it when I was up there) but it hit fender the first day. I've gotten it to the point now where it'll touch fender liner, but only if I'm going up an incline and it's very slight. I can live with that.

Fuuuuuuuuuuu you're rubbing up front? I'm going to be 5mm further out than you are too. I wasn't planning on rolling my front fenders but I guess I will be!

Yes sir...I'm pretty low though...almost all the way down on my TEIN...and I have the camber at ALMOST zero...you MAY be ok if you don't have a camber kit. I'm actually thinking about taking mine out and putting the stock balljoint back in to sit where it naturally will...so it'll camber when I hit a bump rather than hit the liner.

BUT, not all tires are created equally...so..get a 225 front...or the hankook evo v12 235...they were very narrow compared to the falken 452's now.

Oh yea, I forgot you were on coils. I'm probably not as low as you are so that may work in my favor.

I have a camber kit in the rear but not up front.

I'm trying not to think about tires for a while haha. These are holding up pretty well and I'm overall happy with them.

So how are you going to be +30?
15 Mil spacer on the Aspec?

That'll look great. Actually, believe it or not...the aspec sits pretty nicely up front when you straighten the camber out. The only problem with the upper camber correction up front is it pushes the top out and the 2 arm rear one pulls the bottom in so the stance ends up being wider in the front (without spacers, obvi).

This whole stance thing is actually a lot easier than I thought once you get into it and visualize everything.

Ok, FINALLY got grill back...cleaned and put em on last night. Here's how she is sitting right now...Type S tails back on (missed em) and type S clear diffusers in headlights with carbon fiber inserts...and the above offset lookin pretty flush. Waiting on some new blue lugs that I intend to be careful with...plus, they're a lot chunkier than the gorilla locks.

J.

That's quite a compliment coming from someone as anal as I am about his car...I appreciate the love Tyler...seriously. Can't wait for you to get em too...considering how you do everything else I'm sure I'll end up having to close my thread out of embarrasment.

and a rolling shot I can't remember having posted yet...it came out looking like a magazine shot! WITH MY OWN HAND!

Does everyone have that bluish hue to their sidemirrors...someone made a comment about mine.

Awwwww thanks buddy

Actually there's a lot wrong with my car visually, especially inside. Pictures are great sometimes because they don't catch the flaws

That's an awesome picture! I'll try to get one like that once the wheels are on. All TLs that I've seen, including my own, have the blue hue to the mirrors. I think that's to reduce glare from lights behind you.

Thanks man, may play with it (the picture... )and make it my avatar...got lucky to catch it so perfectly lined up with the white line.

And yeah, I know what you mean, taking the pictures is an art too...like, knowing the angles and lighting. I like Dusk pics...or dawn...full on sun shows a lot of imperfections.

So this weekend, a lot of maintenance on the car. Switched the progress RSB back to track setting and raised rear 1/8"...
lowered the clutch pedal point so now there is no soft area, it's much more precise feeling and greased my slave cylinder and got rid of the annoying squeak in the bay (thanks Bi!). Also, drained and refilled my radiator. Figured it would be corroded, but it really wasn't...the fluid/water that came out was not gunky at all.

J.

My personal favorite...

Here are some shots I took this morning on my phone...

Do it man...
Thanks for the compliments!
Yeah, the suspension is setup perfectly for me right now...I would venture to guess that with my buddy and our girls in the back I'd get no rubbing, which are normally the only 4 people I have in the car. Other than that, it's normally just me.

3rd gen...there is just something about it's shape man...from stock to aspec to lowered etc...just classic shape to it. I was in LOVE with the 2nd gen...until I saw the 3rd. Even now, the 4th can be gorgeous too...but still, the 3rd just has an edge. 4 door, but mean looking, decent on gas and decenly fast. Jack of all...

About the radiator...look in front of the jack point in the front...there's a plug there...you can hand untighten it and all the antifreeze in the radiator will drain out...looks to be a prediluted antifreeze, didn't even look too greenish. Then I ran my hose thru it a few times to get all the crap out. Then closed off the plug and refilled with a new gallon of antifreeze...bought two, but only took one to fill. I bought the orangish stuff...said long lasting and had dex something or other in it. Prestone I think...ran me $12. I KNOW you can drain out the whole system but I was really only after making sure there wasn't any corrosion inside the radiator after 8 years. Lookin in, the aluminum still looked brand new. Hopefully this'll preserve it even more.

J.

Holy processing

#5 is my favorite. Really shows off the flushness.

I've been meaning to bring up the topic of centercaps for the Works. Do you have a set or even want a set?

Not a problem, brother. Was a lot more complex in my head for some reason.

C'mon man...you know how I roll!!! I wasn't going to get them...but even my fiance, that hates my car hobby, said...wtf are you thinking...super expensive rims and no center caps. Actually, tires plus used a screwdriver to remove it and dented the metal part of one...I actually paid the $30 for another one last week to have perfect ones. You probably just can't tell from the pics...in some of the pictures it does look like you're looking at the naked hub center...but it's actually the below cap. About the processing, these were all settings on my HTC Evo...thought it was pretty cool though!

Actually almost went and bought some work lugs too...but 150 is too rich for my blood, and honestly, the thick ended lugs take away from the detail of the wheel IMO...looked too bulky...repainted my gorilla lugs after cleaning and sanding them, and torqued with a torque wrench instead of impact gun to keep the paint on em.

Yeah, my aspecs are the rare ones...2004 8.5" wide ones...they are currently hanging in my garage. I don't believe in getting rid of stockies. i had em on my girl's 08 accord, but she curbed em once and she kept getting annoyed when i would put them back on my car. So i haven't put them back on yet.

BBK, huh!?!? I have thought about it, I'm a manual so I already have the Brembo fronts...i wouldn't mind the light blue colored rotora calipers...those are nice. But I'm not willing to spend that kind of money on it.

Same with the exhaust, I have Jpipe and stage 3 and am super happy with sound/performance and love the stock tips so wouldn't consider an exhaust.
