dont put silicon on the center like i did LOL. realized after i did the second one that im going to run into a problem when i do my brakes. i had red rtv and too lazy to go to the store. so use black rtv and put them where the OP did. oh i also bent that middle braket down, which i think helped keep the cover flat against the caliper.

It looks like the RTV might not have a full contact with the inside of the cover, right?

I am kinda worried what if the cover falls later, which might give an accident

Once RTV Cures it's on there for sure. RTV is used for a lot of reasons and it's main reason is for sealing as like gaskets. It's great in all sorts of temps and cleans off nice when you have to remove them. It will hold just fine if you follow my directions on page 1. I showed you where to place the RTV, if your worried about the RTV not holding then use 2x self tapper screws and secure it to your caliper bracket. DO not glue or attach the top middle tap of the caliper cover to your caliper. This cover only and I REPEAT only attaches to the caliper bracket not the caliper itself! If your doing your front calipers then yes they can only attach to the caliper but not the bracket. If your worried then don't attempt this mod but I assure you, it's the same proceedure as if you were doing those brembos covers, they are glued in place..

Yea, I've had mine on for a couple days not and its not going anywhere. Just make sure you only have the silicone in the 3 spots the OP showed in the picture.

Thanks for posting the picture, do I have to take the cover off the caliper holder later for some brake work like changing the brake pad?

From the picture I assume the cover has to be off the caliper holder in order to remove the caliper itself.

yes, its the same part for both front and rear on a AT TL.

You will most likely end up paying at the higher price they they're going for now since Tim removed them from his site to lock out anyone from ordering at the lower price.

quanaman Looks good bro!! Make sure to post up pictures when you install them. The fronts will be a lot easier to install since it will have more to grab. Let it sit at least for 2 hours before you go driving off. Best of luck man.

Man the covers look great. Seem like all the dealers are going up in price (from my research). I can't justify paying $12 each for caliper covers. If they come down I will definitely get a set

Just talked to Tim and he said the next batch for ppl who ordered last week will be arriving the end of this week or early next week, so we'll probably see them end of next week.

For those who wanna order now, there'll be a 1-2 months waiting time for them.

Sweet, glad to hear it. Might be time to order some G2 caliper paint too and get the whole job done at once.

I think i'm just gonna go with high heat paint. Since it's going to be all black, I don't think the painted part will stand out once the wheel is on.

G2 is higher quality and withstands anything. I've used the Dupli-color caliper kits on my previous car and it would flake no matter how much you prep and get it perfect. I used the G2 kit on my TL and its been painted for over 2 years and it still looks just like when i first painted them them.

i had originally ordered from them for that price, but was forced to pay the difference due to the price increase, so i cancelled my order.

Yup. I used the RTV recommended in this thread to install them. Red high temp, picked it up at Advance Auto for like 6 bucks.

I put a generous amount on them, then used blue painters tape to keep them on there tight while the RTV cured. The rears pretty much just fit right over the caliper. For the front, the covers are a bit too small so you have to just bend the tabs on the either side to fit them around the caliper. Its pretty much self explanitory.

I let it sit for 24 hours, then went on a 500 mile round trip. No issues

still waiting for mines to be shipped.

When I spoke to Tim last friday, he said the latest batch arrived from Japan last Wednesday, but Honda of America is sitting on them and haven't released them. He's hoping to get them Wed or Thurs, but its up to Honda.

only because honda pulled these from the website temporarily when the orders started flowing in.

I got my confirmation e-mail with tracking number today, hopefully I'll get mine this week.
