Hmmm...
While I like how clean they look, I don't like that you put Brembo on them...that's coming from a guy with plastic brembo covers.

Lol. I had Acura on them as well but didn't like them. I decided to take the ACURA off my front brembo's and put a brembo decal on those too.

Thanks for being polite as well. We know how we can be in here..

Sorry, man...I'm a fucking dumbass, I just realized that you have real brembo's up front...when I first saw the two pictures I thought they were rdx front and rear with the stickers on them!

In that case, I'm with you, man...I didn't like the Acura on it either...but then I did blank...which looked odd and well, blank

That color scheme works REALLY well with the look you have going on on your car though, man.

^^ Thanks!! JTS97Z28 (James) hooked me up with these a little over a year ago (not sure how old they were when he had them) and they were in near mint shape and I have worked hard to keep them that way. A-Specs were one of the best upgrades I did looks wise to my car!

Hi guys I wanted to share my experience with this since it looks like the thread is still breathing. Total newb here...never posted pics so I hope I don't totally screw this up ...

I did this mod along with a bunch of other things like rotors, pads, etc. so the car was all ripped apart at the time. I have Brembo's in the front so like others, I put the covers on the rear to try to beef them up. I wanted to paint my calipers white, so I went with the G2 caliper paint in WDP.

I know most seem to solely use the RTV but I really wanted to find a way to fasten them, just my own preference. I see some have used screws. I actually decided to use rivets instead, it's a more flush look. Honestly I thought it was a bit hairy to drill into the bracket, there wasn't a whole lot of room to work with. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that isn't mechanically inclined. But it worked out pretty well. My pics don't show it, but I bought some WDP touch up paint to cover up the rivet. I did in fact have to use a dab or two of the RTV to keep it from being sloppy, but I like that it's fastened.

I put a Brembo decal on the front caliper and wasn't sure what to do in the back. Couldn't put an Acura logo on the back and have Brembo in the front. And I would never put a Brembo decal on that cover so I settled for blank. And I actually love it. I didn't think I would but I do!

Started here with my fresh lookin' parts

This is a little blurry but shows the drilled hole

After all the painting, etc.

Complete look

Thanks for looking

Are the covers different for the front and rear? Where's the best place to order these? Or does somebody have any extras? =D

Same cover. Need to purchase from Acura dealer. I believe Delray Acura was offering 5% off the order if you type in Acurazine in the comment section at checkout. But even with that they are all pretty much right around the same price. You can also check the AZine black market

I did just that, and to be honest- I was hesitant at first. After it was said and done, it looks fantastic. I painted my calipers copper orange and put a black brembo decal up front and a black Acura decal out back.

Question: Will there be a clearance issue with 16" steelies? I'm running 16" steelies on my winter tires during the winter season.

I don't see there being an issue since these are super thin and the length of the rear caliper bracket. This link might help you judge it's thickness.

Thumbs up Thanks !!!

Hi 04WDPSeDaN:
I know it's now April 2018, but I just wanted to thank you for posting in 2012 about the Acura front caliper covers fitting the rear with a little modification. I had to get "new" rear calipers over the winter, and they rusted in a week. Not acceptable! This was a great fix and inexpensive to boot. I just hope they stay on. I had my doubts yesterday when I first stuck them on, but they seemed to be rock-solid after setting up. I really appreciated your original post! Still like my 2013 RDX; bought it new. Sorry the image is so large. I don't post much

Sometimes the 2005 Acura TL gets put aside and the wife's 2007 Acura RDX gets some loving too. I replaced her brake pads, rotors, brake hardware, and painted everything a few weeks ago:
https://acurazine.com/forums/first-g.../#post16302222

If anyone is wondering, they do also fit the FRONT AND REAR calipers for the 1st generation Acura RDX. The front ones almost did not clear though!

You do realize I stated that I have a 2007 Acura RDX right? These covers weren't made the the 1st gen Acura RDXs. They were manufactured only after 2013.

I had to do a lot of bending and manipulating with the covers in order for them to sit flush.

Several years ago, someone else asked if they would work for the 1st gens (see below) and no one seems to have responded in any of the 18 pages of this thread:

Part number for the 2013 RDX brake cover is 45218-TX4-A00, you need to order 2x of these and cost about $22.00. Used Black high temp RTV to hold them in place, the only thing you do is adjust the 3 tabs on the cover the top one you don't glue you just pull up away from the caliper the side ones you adjust so that they grab on the caliper bracket. Use this photo as a reference to where the glue has to be applied.

Last two pictures I have here.

I used BLACK High Temp RTV, reason being it holds up to high temps and also does well in extreme weather from hot to cold in all conditions. Cleans off really good as well when your taking them off.
Hi I just ordered 2 of the covers 45218-TX4-A00, do the come in pairs or I need to order 4?
