Damn, what fantastic foaming!
Looking great, Q!!!
I love it.
I called Marty from Raxles...I'm on the waiting list, they're out for a bit. Raxles are supposedly a bit beefier than oem...and my driver side is Raxle so I'm keeping it that way on both sides now.

+1
The broom is one thing...their soap another! The pH is so bad in the soaps at those places!
I hope the intent was to seal and or wax after that wash.
Edit: Also aren't Raxles just rebuilt, but not reground, OE axles? How are they beefier?

Hahaha I had my own brush, with a microfiber sponge on the end.
I don't normally go to those types of car washes, there actually aren't very many where I live in VA, but this was out of town after a 500mi road trip. I needed to get the bugs and shit off the front

Damn...
reading through the testimonials...it's almost like you're LUCKY to have him sell you a RAXLE...pages of pages of problems addressed with them, and amazing customer service.
Wacker even told me when he called for a second set for his wife's car...the owner got on the phone and was like, OH NOOO>>>WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR RAXLES...
Personalized service too...you have to call and talk directly to the guy...he talks it over with you to be sure it'll solve your problem and to ensure you're ordering the right axle.

Don't know...I haven't been paying full attention.
I thought you were leaning more toward the fact that it's NOT worth the extra over going OEM.
I had sticker shock, I can't lie...since pricing isn't mentioned, I assumed they would be cheaper than oem. When he said 220 if he can reuse my old axle return or 300 if he can't...I was like
But Wacker assured me that it was worth the investment...solved all wobble woes.

I'd rather buy quality than have to deal with quantity. Autozone axles, etc, are junk. Only two choices IMO, OE or Raxle.
You'll probably never have to touch it again...

Ahhhh, that is a little steep.
I remember i paid something like $350 total for both my 6MT axles, OEM. I think they're probably a little more expensive now (seems like Acura has been raising the price of 3G parts lately)
I Agree if I had one already, I would probably do the same and replace the other with the same raxles axle as well. I think I will most likely just go with a pair of OEM when the time comes. My shudder/vibration isn't very bad at all yet. I'm no professional but I suspect that lowering exaggerates the shuddering since the axle is at a more extreme angle so raising it up will probably reduce it some.
I DEFINITELY agree though, the advance auto and those are all garbage. I replaced mine once with those and had vibrations within 3 months. I pulled them out and replaced with OEM, then returned the shit advance auto ones. When they tried to give me crap about the warranty being replacement only, i told them if they had a quality part I would have allowed them to replace it, but since they didn't and I wasn't going to pay labor again, I already went with OEM. They refunded my money.

Stick it to the man!
Yeah, definitely...I definitely considered going OEM too...we'll see, it's not substantially more to go with the raxle, and the guy seems to truly care about his customers. Maybe it'll pay off.
I hope I can figure out swapping it myself.

J, I'm sure you can get the swap done yourself, its not too difficult. I watched Glenn do it on NBP #1, so I'm pretty confident I could do it this time around if necessary!
Got a couple parts ordered for the TL this weekend, new tires tpms and type-S wheels mounted up. Just waiting to make a purchase on those SPC rear camber arms so I can get my alignment and put the new wheels and tires on.
Any recommendation for places to buy the camber arms? Ebay has them for $150ish shipped, amazon prime for $80/each side.

i got mine two weeks ago from amazon. heeltoe doesn't usually have the lowest price for me because of tax and shipping. plus i couldn't beat amazon prime's 2 day turn-around shipped straight from SPC.
i almost never buy from ebay because i don't trust it for parts and for customer service. amazon's customer service can't be beat

Love the look of the Ti s2000 knob...but...it's only like 200 grams or something right? The maven is almost 500!

That one is pretty nice, how well does it match the OEM ring around the shift boot? That was the main reason I really wanted the Maven one, the weight and the fact that it matches that ring pretty well. Plus for what it was listed for in the BM, I was happy! I had it on my first NBP TL, on the second I went with the $85 OEM one, and on this one I was debating but went with the Maven since it popped up in the BM.
over $115?
over $115?
my shift knob is 635 grams (50% heavier than my skunk2 knob) and i also purchased a shift boot adapter so it looks seamless/oem...the leather boot now goes straight to the knob no collar. looks sweet imo. the ergonomics is much better than any other shifter i've felt/seen too
without the powdercoat and boot adapter i coiuld have saved $55, and then i could have saved $30 more if i didn't get the gate pattern machined in...but those were all things i had to have and i haven't had one regret since buying it haha
that maven knob is pretty sweet too tho! similar shape
