Man, that looks nice. Congrats on the new Type S. The car obviously looks perfect as is, but if I may recommend one thing. I personally think the OEM painted splash gaurds look really good especially on the white Type S. Since its only around $100 bucks, maybe consider removing the black ones for the painted gaurds. Then again, if you are set on getting aspec at some point then it would be pointless since the splash gaurds would no longer be useable.
Sweet pictures and sounds like a cool adventure. Man, that car went a long way from CA to its new home in NC.

I'm glad I didn't have to drive the car from California to North Carolina! That would have been an incredibly long trip with no cruise control.. still have to get that checked out.

Nice S
I don't think there's a cable for the cruise control since it's a drive by wire system.
Remove the plastic valve from inside your slave cylinder pronto for a true shift feel

I forgot to mention in my introductory post of what I had before but maybe you saw me around town in the car I sold when the TL arrived.. 2002 Lexus IS300.
Used to have OEM chrome wheels on it until I moved to North Carolina and the first winter here destroyed them. Haven't seen snow since that year either! (Dec '10)

I know what my next investment is! All season tires!
I live in Asheville, NC and we don't really see bad weather in the winter but last night got a little snowy and icy. I was in a restaurant for less than 45 minutes and when I came outside it was getting pretty bad. I tried to take the road home which had the most traffic but a lot of the roads were closed.
Long story short -- ended up sliding off the main road into a parking lot missing a telephone pole by 3 feet or so. Luckily there was the parking lot entrance ramp there as well so nothing hit other than a hard jolt entering the parking lot. Left the car there over night and was able to make it home this morning. These summer tires don't do well in the snow at all!
I'm leaning towards a set of Continental DWS and will just keep my current summer tires in the shed for the time being. I'd like to find a 2nd set of OEM waffles to keep them on but that isn't a priority right now.
On a side note -- my check engine light came back on, again, but I just tightened the gas gap, reset the XM ECU and it seems to have disappeared.

That is what I have on my WDP. I love the white painted splash guards. I would only remove them if I were to get an Aspec rear bumper.

New tires should be mounted sometime by the end of the week.. as long as I can get over this darn cold! I've felt like garbage for a few days now.

I had the Continental DWS tires installed about two weeks ago and I like them. The sidewalls seem a little soft when making hard turns but I don't generally drive the car hard so they will do me just fine! They seem to be more quiet than my previous set of tires.
Asheville got hit with the snow storm out of no where and I'm glad I had the tires on! They went through the snow and slush with no problem what so ever. I'm happy with my purchase so car.
I also bought a set of Weather Tech Digital Fit floor mats from Psybin and love those too!
The first picture below is from Tuesday night and the second picture is from Saturday afternoon. It's crazy how the weather changes so quickly here!

Time for a little update from me! About a month ago I was in Charlotte visiting (trying to move there this month) and I didn't know a friend had backed her car up behind me in a parking lot and I gave her a little love tap. It sounded horrible when it happened but didn't do much damage (to my car at least).
That is my bumper after using rubbing compound and a little touch up paint on the bottom portion of the bumper. You can see the deep scratches below the lip line and not much damage above that. The 2nd picture is before the rubbing compound and touch up paint was applied to the deep scratches. I was planning on having the bumper repainted this summer at a friends shop to have the paint match the body a little better but instead of expediting that process I pulled something out of the shed and started unboxing it.
The rear lip will cover 95% of the scratches and tide me over until later this summer when I have the rear bumper cover painted. There are a few other little mods that will be done this month as well but I'll just post pictures up of those as I install them.
Edit: I also met up with Tyler when I was over in Charlotte. His WDP is clean and looks amazing!

Waiting to hear back from a friend about installing it this weekend. I don't have a garage and I know it'll be a two person job to knock the install out in an afternoon.
My next step is a drop. I'm torn between the H&R Sport and Tein H Tech. I don't want a massive drop but something to get rid of a little wheel gap. I like your drop Steven but I'd like to see a Type S on H Techs with the ASPEC kit. I know there Is one in the drop thread but he didn't have the front installed at the time of the picture.

Yea, my drop is very modest. After seeing all the Type S' with more radical drops than mine, I kinda wish I went lower. But I added spacers along with the drop. So now the wheels/tires are flush with the body. It looks good-I don't think I could get that look if I was any lower.
Bear that in mind when you choose. The spacers do a LOT for the overall look.

Spacers are definitely going to go on the car when it's dropped. Did you have to roll the rear fenders at all? I don't think the H Tech or H&R Sport would require the fenders to be rolled even with spacers.

Excellent combo.
Everytime I see a type S I stare at it. They look so good even without any mods.

I was finally able to get a little free time to head out to Old Fort, NC and meet up with Matt (BallinOnABudget) and start the install of my ASPEC kit. We figured we would only have enough time to install the rear bumper lip and side skirts and we were both right!
It took us about 4 and a half hours to install everything properly and have the car back together. Oddly enough we didn't cut my rear bumper exhaust outlets out like the PDF states to. He cut his out on his install and we test mounted the kit and noticed we didn't need to. This also made it MUCH easier to drill the new holes in the bottom of the bumper to mount the lip to.
On to the pictures.. the first is Matt's car and mine in the background as we were preparing to do the side skirts.
My side skirts complete.
Rear bumper cover removed to prepare the install of the rear lip.
Since the PDF isn't very clear on where to drill the holes and it's almost impossible to find the little markings where it states to drill them, I took a few pictures of where we drilled and the kit lines up perfectly. I hope this helps anyone out there in the future who was hesitant about drilling holes into their bumper!
And here is the final result of the rear after pulling away all of the tape and mounting the new brackets in place.
Overall the install was kind of a pain but wasn't too bad since I had a helper there that had previously installed a kit. I'm very happy with how the lip lines up with the bumper line. I see a lot that hang below but I'm very satisfied with our install! All that is left is the front and I'll be golden! I also noticed the rear struts were leaking a little so I guess new struts or a coilover set is going to be in the near future.

Don't forget the most important part of all...no cutting required on bumpers exhaust surround! Who needs instructions!? Are we the only ones that did not cut exhaust surround? Why do the instructions tell you to?

Hey, two tone was cool in the 90's. This is just more of a subliminal way of doing it. Thanks for the kind words.
Thanks, man! Getting close to the stance I want! Just need to drop her a little and add 15mm spacers and I'll be happy for a while.

Finally got around to doing the front with Matt. Went much easier than the rear!
I'll add more pictures later. Can't add more than one attachment from my iPad for some reason. Oh well.

Thanks! I'll definitely get some nice pictures taken once I get the time to give the car a good cleaning. I think I'm going to sell the ASPEC wheels and put spacers on with my OEM waffles or get a set of aftermarket 18's. I'm so indecisive!
