Louisville's TL's
With my recent interests in photography and my love for the TLs, it was only right that I met up with the TL crew in town to do a photoshoot.
I'm still kind of amateurish with photography, but a quick note, the session took 4 hours using one battery from a d5100 set up. Which, resulted roughly 75 pictures with less than 20 coming out to my liking. Clayton, the TL-S owner took off his RPF1s the week prior, so we had to settle for some nice stockies and Ross is owner of the black TL sitting on 19's with a missing drop . I'm sure they will chime in to list their specs if anyone is interested.
Okay, I'll shut up now. Here are some of my favorite shots.
And here are a couple of shots of my car from other times.

LeMix, for an amateur photog, you did a great job. Love the starburst on the fogs.

Glad you guys liked it! Some of the things that I've learned to be very helpful is to have a sturdy and light tripod and use a remote control to shoot pictures with long exposure, if your camera is compatible. And try to shoot pictures around dawn with the sun going down, there is just enough light for money shots.
I plasti-dip mine, it doesn't flow with the black pillars very well as they are gloss black and the side mirrors are obviously not. I'm looking to redo it with gloss black vinyl next spring, along with my roof.
Hope these helps.
Thanks, some of the pictures required a lot of post editing, but the time spent was well worth it.
Night shots are a pain but they are fun to look at, each shot took anywhere from 1-3 minutes per. Then taking multiple shots just to get that decent exposed shot, reason why I scrapped a lot of pics and the battery was beat. I've bought a back up from the lesson learned.
Thanks, Steven, the star bursts were unexpected but they are indeed a nice touch without the use of filters.
Next up, proper rolling shots.

Night pictures required long exposure to accumulate proper lights. I had to wait for each shot. For example, a shot that required 1 minute light exposure requires another minute of processing time inside the camera, making it 2. Some shots took up to 5 minutes. The pictures were spread out to different locations in same session.

Gloss wrap or paint would make your wdp look even better, though it already looks great!

When I had it "On", it would take about the same amount of time to process as it did to take the pic. When I disabled it, it took the pic and was immediately ready to snap another. Check if your camera has it! And being you PP your pics, you can manually reduce noise.

Regarding this, my older camera did the same thing, after getting a new camera body, it no longer does it and it's because of an option, long exposure noise reduction.

I wish I have more control over both the Aperture & Shutter Speed simultaneously as it would help with better control over the shots. Unfortunately it's only one or the other with my D5100.
Thanks for all the compliments, guys! it means a lot. Now I'm even more inspired to go out and snap more often.

Canon 60D.
Your 5100 should have full control.
The "M" on the wheel should be full manual. On my old camera (XS) I had to press another button to change the shutter otherwise it would only let me change the aperture or vise-versa.
As for noise, I didn't notice much change but I try to shoot at the lowest ISO at all times (100) for mine. The higher your ISO is, the more noise you'll get.

it's so beautiful I want to cry...
I really need to drop some coin and get my car detailed $$$ by someone who knows what they're doing
Then again, parking in a $395 rent/mo apartment complex, OUTDOORs, ... meh. Hopeless.

The only way to control the fstop & SS is using the same scrolling button as pointed to above. Unlike my friend's camera, which is a d80 (I think) it had two different scrolling toggles for individual adjustment. I was using M mode and it adjusted both options simultaneously. Maybe I haven't read into the manual mode as much as I should. It would be great to control each of them individually.

Bro, in the long run, just learn how to do it yourself. Waxing isn't hard, might need a little elbow grease if you don't have a buffer. But you'll come to appreciate your car more. Plus, a paid session of detail work equals a set of high quality detailing products for you to use 10 times over.

It was a nightmare through and through. . .
# Had to use some products that aren't meant to be used in bright sunlight. The heat melted masking tape residue into my paint. Leaves and dust were blowing too.
# My apartment complex has constant people coming and going in the parking lot to get annoyed by me, ... no outdoor water faucet, and power I'd have to run 100ft+ cord out my room window.
# I read 10 guides in the days leading up, and did step by step with a very detailed guide on the day of. Result was very mediocre. The only awesome thing is the final sealant truly last 6 months - water was still beading up!

Definitely read the manual. I read it when I got my new camera. And I keep it with me in my bag at all times.
My screen has all the adjustments and I use the D-pad thing to highlight what I want to change and then use the wheel to scroll through the f/stops, Shutter Speeds, ect.
For shooting at night, I wouldn't be too worried about controlling both, usually, if you set it at the aperture you want, the camera will choose a suitable time under 30 seconds (any longer and then you'd need to use the manual settings and Bulb mode (sorry, Nikon isn't Bulb, but you can control the SS past 30 secs. You know what I'm talking about.)
The pictures came out excellent though, so I'm sure you know plenty about the camera. I'm very interested in seeing more.

If anything I need to invests in a faster, sharper and more versatile lens. The focus on my do-it-all lens is weak sauce.
Thanks, bro. The most of the original pictures are too soft for my taste, hence post-processing. I'm still getting used to exposures and the camera, so my photos aren't always the greatest raw. I personally hate HDR photos, especially the ones that are extreme which a lot of times are done in PS. The ones that looks a little HDR are that way because of clarity bumps.

I didn't want post unless I have something productive to show/say. So, here's a recap of this past week photos. I was always interested in seeing how my car would fair in a greenish background, so I took a trip to the nearest park this past weekend. Weather conditions weren't the greatest, overcast and light drizzle, but because of that, it created a dark feel to some of the photos.
The other shots is at my work place, an Aluminum extrusion company. I've always found the truck trailer with a bunch of metal on it very interesting, so I snuck my car right beside the red trailer when there weren't any truck present.
Please feel free to critique, I'm always looking to get better.
