thx! Your car is like straight out of a Acura brochure! I used your guide to figure out the type-s grill on my 05. I'll also be trying to get the honeycomb behind the A-spec lip.

Do you have a link to the member that did it? Want to see if there is a different style. I was thinking of finding a square one that'll fit perfectly in the mesh opening of the rear bumper.

This sounds like something I would do lol.

I hope it comes together well, I've wanted the dark chrome trims for years but was always afraid to pull the trigger because I figured I wouldn't be able to make a clean fit.

I like the idea of that lower third (/fourth?) brake light, but I think a wider rectangle light will look better. I don't think the triangle matches the overall appearance of the car, and it also reminds me too much of the Mugen Civic Si (even though that one is square), if it's too small I think it'll look tacky. Should be similar to the width of the window brake light for better symmetry and a more OEM look.

Thank you! Glad you found the DIY helpful!

The member is pearl905, he totaled his car last year.
This is the only picture I found of it:

I think the triangle matches well. The other option if you want a rectangle is the CRV LED third brake light.
Many guys use it on their RSX Mugen rear bumpers:

Maybe it's the color difference, maybe it's the photo angle, or maybe I'm just wishywashy, but the triangle on Pearl905's TL actually looks pretty nice lol.

That RSX is also pretty cool though, and that's pretty close to what I was imagining on DesertMist's TL.

thanks! it was deesper

After seeing his car I know I needed to go 07-08 type-s--just more aggressive than base 04-06.

I was thinking type-s tails but on this color the 07-08 base looks at home.

Yes!! That was the member I was talking about. I honestly like his TL and thought it was one of the best 3rd gen's at that time. Miss the times of super clean and well done modifications.

I was just thinking about adding a Third brake light to my Type lip. Is there any DIYs to follow to wire it up to my 08 Type S? btw I think the rectangle Rsx brake light would look better IMO

threw one side on to see what i was dealing with. they are wayy too sunken in +25 mm spacer to clear studs should bring these wheels to 18x7.5 +25 and 18x8 +25. Also looking into just doing 20 and 25 because the stock studs might clear into the unused wheel holes. Also looking to lower first and then play with spacer and tire set up. right now im looking to run 235 up front and 245 in rear.

do it, 4 screws and some cutting later you;re in business. I'd put double sided tape, mine is starting to sag.

Looks great! I love the Volk wheels but they definitely need the spacers, it sucks that the offset was so positive! Can't wait to see the car with the Volks and spacers after that drop!

thanks all, wheels won't go on till next weekend. going to be busy with work. just got my ichiba v2 25mm spacers and muteki lug nuts.

love this drop. Should have done it sooner. picture for now, never posted I had 6k osram cbh bulbs. spent too much on these but love the color, and super bright! https://www.theretrofitsource.com/co...66240-cbh.html

also considering the new CF ducktail trunk..my trunk was repainted before i bought it and the paint is failing really bad.

got impatient and installed my wheels after work. Im use to running a 235/245 so these feel/look like rubber bands. Going to burn these tires out before swapping to 235 front and 245 rear
25mm+ Ichiba Spacers on 18x7.5 +50 and 18x8 +50 with 225/40 or 35/18 tires.
