So I went and done did it anyways!! I plasti-dipped my wheels white. Everyone wanted to see what they'd look like and since I do plan on powder coating them In The spring I wanted to make sure all the colors I was thinking about had a fair chance. I must say I really do like the white but man does that brake dust really show up. I'd say the majority of my buddies like the white better than they have the black and OG gunmetal but the final choice will be tough. Maybe a pearl white with very small hints of orange in it. The color scheme will have my favorite burnt orange in it. Thoughts, critiques, or just plan rude...all are welcome here!!

Think I'll be switching the brakes out here soon, any suggestions that 1. Won't "brake" the bank, and 2. Are better or equal to OEM. Plan is to have the calipers powder coated before I put them on.

I have always ran the duralast gold from my local autozone. Life is good, stopping power is good, minimal brake dust, relatively cheap, and good warranty!

Great info!! Minimual brake dust is a super plus!! I've noticed with white wheels the brake dust is ridiculous and that doesn't bode well for my cleanliness OCD level....I'm like Leo Decarpio in the Aviator I swear. Thanks Breeze

I actually dont like the white. I think something polished or machined would look best. And remove the headlight tint. Are those "Rockers" old lights?

Maybe even something like a transluscent copper or bronze might look neat. Check those out. There was a colour I saw called sunken treasure that was nuts

Sickest
Yea I feel ya on the white now that I done went and did this!!

I took off all the plasti dip and went back to the OEM color. I also painted the lower part below the A to color match. Well it isn't a perfect match due to the car having probably a 3 stage paint job and the rattle can CGP is only 1 stage. It won't be as noticeable in the daylight. Polished or hyper silver wheels would really make it pop I think.

I don't mind the white - i think it pops just as good - mostly because it's probably not as well used as a color for wheels on the CGP - but that makes it sweet!

I was looking at the Miro Type 111's, I really like those. I think aspec will be next big purchase, does the type-s kit fit on a base? I just love how much more aggressive the S looks from the base.

As for the headlights they are just old, I painted the inside black and gunmaetal way back when I first got the car. I didn't know how sensitive the diffusers were and broke both of them, it's been super ugly ever since. I got 2 sets of old ambers diffusers from Jeremy (Rocker) that I'll put in this weekend. I also have a newer used set of plastic lens cover to replace the old smoky looking one's on there now. Should have some good pic updates this weekend.....if I don't get lazy of course

yes the Type S does fit on the base, i have the base model and had no issues with getting the Type S kit on - the rear takes some slight modification - more or less cutting out the center and enlarging the exhaust ports - but it work In fact I couldn't find a base model a-spec kit for NBP only found it in the Type S kit - i ordered mines through Endless/Bruce.

I know VisualEchos runs the Miro 111 or the 112 (I forget) on his, earlier in your thread i posted some shots of the CGP with different wheel colors - his was one of them.

So I pulled the headlamps to replace broken diffusers. Decided to repaint the inside with the colors that will eventually become my cars theme so to speak. I cannibalized some parts from an older set from an 04-06. Also color matched the grill and painted the accent pieces white. All in all I think it looks good but we'll see once o get the car back together. I'm no JnC or Ack TL but it is satisfying knowing I did it myself and saved some dough in the process. I had to clean up the smoke lens. Thanks Rocker. Right is pre clean and left is conplete
Tore up
Shed chalk full of color
Finished product with a little treat for you pervs

ahahaha nice man, also jeremy is rockstar not rocker

I think white wheels look good when its something with a polished lip like say the work vsxx but a normal spoked wheel with white plasti dip just looks dull to me theres no depth or substance to it .

I couldn't agree more however about the work VSXX, they are uber dope!! However a man on a buffet and 3 kids plus a wife who is obsessed with boots makes it harder for me to get such an expensive wheel set up. Sneak peak

Fudge - that looks sick! I'll retract my statement about the turn signal strips - its flows really well! The vsxx are a clean wheels, if I had the pockets though I would venture for the ryvers But like you sir, 2 kids, 5 animals, and a wife who is into essential oils and buys up bunches - i have to maintain the budget lol

So 48 hours later I'm finished, the lights aren't perfect by any means but they do look way better than before. Next set of lights I'm sending to JnC or Ack TL hahaha

looks good man - question - you painted the clear ring on the DRL that sits under the outer ring that was silver any reason for that? just curious. I think they look good man - anyone who is down to open headlights and mod them can do as good as JNC or Bruce imo...don't get me wrong, they do good work - but i think its mostly for people that are afraid to open them up.

Can't wait to see some shots of the whole car!

I hate doing headlights...I've done them probably 10 times and have made a different mistake each time.
Looks awesome, man! I think the white is a very stark contrast which I'm not sure I love...but it is well done!

ROFL at your wife looking away...
I guess I'm lucky, my wife's only expensive hobby is trips to Target.

Headlights can be tricky - but i kind of like the challenge - lol - i've only done mine twice so far - tails on the other hand - i haven't done them yet, but heard they are trickier cause you have to cut them open - loved the tails you did on the NBP TL you had J
I didn't think I liked the white at first either seeing them all separate but seeing them all together works well.
Are these the Yankee Candles we're talking about, or generics? them damn yankee candles can add up

bro...I don't know but they are $12 or more and she burns them all the fkng time!
Yeah man...the tails are more of a challenge for sure. You'll knock it out...thanks btw...
I had so many different tails on the car.

Headlights, I got it down pretty perfectly at the end...but it took a lot of practice!

Thanks my friends!! To be honest I'm not sure I'm totally in love with it yet, however it'll probably grow on me in time. I've painted 3 sets of headlights over the years and there's always a few things that get messed up. All those plastic pieces can be very phinicky and break easily if not handled gently. I plan on getting a few replacement pieces for the other set and paint them and probably sell em for a few bills

Windshield isn't covered in Utah? In Florida, I can get one once a year on the insurance's dime.
