just reread the install directions and i got it backwards. the spc nut is too short meaning everything isn't tight if you use it. you can still use the cotter pin with it, but then the nut isn't fully tightened against the oem component

you'll be ok if the nut was tightened but there's just the possibility it comes loose. if the cotter pin is there at some point they will jam together but you'll have looseness in your suspension. just take a look under your car and see what's going on.

haha agree about "randoms"

wheels and color look good! personally i would have gone more contrast with a bright silver against the dark car, but overall looks decent.

aspec kit would really set off your entire look

Yes I agree and I got these wheels at a bargain basement deal. I plan on pulling them off for the winter and powdercoating them. I was leaning toward white but now I'm not sure

i think only certain looks can pull off the white. i think a hyper silver would look awesome on your car. check out the color visualechos got on his wheels, looks great

My exact thoughts were, hyper silver would look perfect with that wheel choice. Overall I like the look of those wheels!

new wheels look good.

just my $0.02 cents: i could only see myself repainting those in black or white. black looks good, but they tend to blend too much and the design becomes less pronounced.

white on the other hand would stand out very much so, and tends to make the wheel/spoke design very obvious. i think a satin white would look great with your paint

decisions decisions

So I'll be honest the more I look at these on the TL the more I like them as is. I plasti dipped the two back wheels white to get a feel for what I'd look like. I did like the color however when I put them back on the holes where the lugs go is quite small and it pulled off the dip from the wheel. I came to the conclusion I'm done with the plasti dip on my car!! I do think the front end needs to be just ever so slightly lower. I'll pull them off and have a shop refinish and fix all the blemishes on them. I have a lot of other projects just sitting around in the garage but I'm super lazy lately. Here's a shot while I was at the hospital waiting for a buddy.

you got the same sunken in look as me. what are the specs on these units again? You should roll you fenders and get spacers

but overall that does look good!

Yea the color is starting to grow on me as well. I'm hoping that once I get the SPC camber kit and have the alignment done it doesn't look so sunken in, it bugs me though. If that doesn't work I'm looking at 5MM for the rear and 2MM for the front. Looking at the tips and a little will have to be taken but those oval one's are not to my liking.

Niche Targa - 19X9.5 +35
Nankang Rubber - 235/35/19
Probably going to get 245/40/19 once these are trashed.

So I got the quads on, look good too....Walter had to fabricate a few things due to the width being a bit bigger than the opening. The other thing is tips aren't off centered like the TL-S pipes so the one's on the inside are a little further inside. He also took off the little grey piece and trimmed up the bumper opening. It looks pretty darn good and much better than those oval tips. To me the oval tips didn't mesh well with the lines of the TL. Pics and thoughts....

Nice work....can you get us a close-up on the tips.

You might consider some black trim around the trimmed out part. The Type S has it.

I'm hoping that when I get an alignment it'll rid that sunken look, but I on the flip side I don't want to get it done and it not work then have to get spacers and another alignment. The strugglr is real!! The color has a lot of green in it when you get close to it, it to has grown on me. I mean it's no KBP or WDP but I still love it.

what are there specs again for your wheels? An alignment will only net you so much, if your offset is weak then youll need spacers regardless.

Im going through the same thing right now. I'm running 18x9 +45 with a 235/40 tire, I just bought 15mm for the front and 20mm for the rear to get the offset to +30 and +25 which with a 9'' wide wheel looks pretty good

nm I just scrolled up a half page and specs were right there. i dont think youll need much for a spacer. 10mm or 15mm
