you are definitely right about the Pilot vs. CRV, Pilot would be more comfortable ride as well, but it's BIG!!! Also first gen MDX you can look at as well, same vehicle, better looking I think, and for some weird reason sometimes less expensive than Pilots.

I've never been a fan of the first gen MDX, not sure why... The 2007+ version though is definitely a car I would love to have. Looking today, there are a couple (exactly 2) that are in my area, but they stretch my budget... Worth checking out though.

Hello! I'm obviously not very good at this 'regular update' thing.

Since August I dropped the search for an 07+ MDX and instead have been renting a truck from my brother's company's work fleet - a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. It's not something I would have ever searched for prior to him offering it, but now that I have it and drive it often, I do like it. The TL is a big car, but switching between the two makes it feel tiny.

In the late days of summer I took a road trip out to the near-by mountains with a dozen or so other Honda/Acura fans, and got some photos of the nice scenery. It was a good way to end off the year. More photos of the trip on a buddy's page here, he's a far better photographer than I.

Last a couple potential acquisitions on the horizon. The g/f wants a cheap beater car, and a friend of mine is looking to move this fun little '97 Civic. If we can get the brakes working we'll pick it up soon ((super soft pedal, have replaced master cylinder, calipers, drum cylinders, no dice). and I'm looking to get in to something a bit more sporty, maybe by late next year... Stay tuned.

Hello again, all!

Hope things have gotten better since November, Steven.

I was going to post a week or so ago to fill everyone in on the plans for the TL this year, but they've taken a drastic turn in the last 48 hours, so I'm glad I waited. Shout out to Marcus at HeelToe who has been fantastic through the whole process. In short, a full bolt-on kit for the TL was bought and paid for, but an opportunity came up that I just couldn't pass on, and I chose to cancel over half of the parts that I was ordering. Marcus immediately put wheels in motion and assured me that this would be no problem - I can't think of many business leaders so willing to help clients take food off their table. His only request is that I remember HeelToe as I continue the TL project in the future, and invest in to my new project. Don't worry Marcus, I will.

No real TL updates until the parts I did order from HeelToe arrive, but here's a photo from last year that I found in my winter boredom.

And a teaser of what will now take most of my time and attention (but hopefully not money, since I'm officially car-poor).

Stay tuned.

Yessir. This one isn't exactly minty... but it's perfect for the track. DC2 Type-R FTW.

I would love to! Unfortunately the car is still in BC. I'm hoping to have it delivered here in the next couple weeks and will post some pictures as soon as I've seen it with my own eyes.

Update! The ITR arrived safe and sound from Vancouver. I was able to get insurance for the weekend, and had the chance to drive it around quite a bit. It is an absolute blast! So different from the big, comfortable 3G, the ITR is light, nimble, and extremely responsive. Below are a few photos that were sent to me before I bought it, and a few that I snapped from the last few days, and there are a number of upgrades and parts in the mail before Track season, which for us here in Canada starts in June. I'll try to be better about providing updates on both the ITR and Type-S as the weather gets better.

Here are the wheels I've ordered for the car. RAYS Gram Lights 57DR in 15x8+35. I test fitted them on Friday and they clear the twin-block Spoon front calipers as advertised, so next they'll be wrapped in 205/50R15 Bridgestone Potenza RE71Rs.

Thanks Steven! They're a custom RAYS 57DR. The shop I ordered them from had to buy 40 wheels from RAYS in this finish to get them to drill this 5x114.3 pattern. Normally 15'' wheels are 4x100. Needless to say I'm very excited to get them on the car.
