Serpentine belt pulleys not lined up ?
My first post so Hi to you all and hope your day is going great, I have a 2005 Acura TL and the guy I bought it from did an engine swap with an 06 and it seems to be running fine except the serpentine belt started chirping and squealing so replaced it and tensioner assembly but looking closely it looks like the belt is riding closer to the motor on the lower idler pulley and away from the engine on the tensioner pulley? we are talking maybe 3/16 or so ? new alternator and power steering pump and pulley and the air conditioning pulley seems fine with no wobble so ? checked everything I could think of but looks to me like the power steering pump is to far away from the motor or ? I dont think you can put the crankshaft pulley on wrong? anyway not squealling now but new belt seems to be wearing fast, is this normal ? tensioner pulley is vibrating and moving around more than it should it seems, any input would be appreciated
Thanks

So after replacing everything but the crankshaft pulley I bought a oem serpentine belt from a acura dealer and it has been working fine for the last 1k miles with no sqeeling or chirping? It kinda lined it self back up for the most part? Can't explain it but the belts I was buying at autozone and advance auto parts just didn't work well for some reason? So do try buy a belt from the dealer and pay the extra $ and hopefully that will solve your problem also

Hi, and welcome. I'm going to move this over to the model specific forum since it's mostly technical in nature and not so much new member introductions.
Hopefully you'll get more eyeballs on your problem there.
Happy motoring!
