Oil In intake manifold

Just got my car back from tuning and the guy told me i have oil in my intake manifold and throttle body because of a bad pcv? I have recently put on the j37 intake manifold and throttle body. Anyone else have this issue and find any idea where the pcv is? thank in advance 07 acura tl type s.

the pcv is on the manifold.

if you look directly at the engine bay

firewall
engine
radiator

it will be on the left hand side, near the powersteering pump on the manifold.

its okay to have some oil and debris in the manifold, as PCV is doing its job!

Also, look up oil catch can or occ. It keeps the oil from going back into the manifold.

PCV is on the valve cover. The front valve cover with 1 10mm bolt.

yeh i thought that was it, I know there should be oil in there but i think i have way to much going in. Only reason is because everytime you start it after it sits for a hour or longer it dumps a lot of smoke. I took the throttle body off and everything was drenched in oil. I think im gonna take the oil catch can approach.

That's something I've only seen on german cars when the valve-stem seals go bad! Is it a small puff of white smoke?

I agree with it being PCV. I had the same issue on my S2000 except being catless, I just had oil blow-by residue on my bumper and sure enough I pulled the intake and there was oil. Pulled my pcv soaked it in brake cleaner and shook it up and it stopped.

I'm not sure about new-er cars but the older PCV valves basically had a small ball in it and if you cleaned it and could rattle it, it was good.

My OCC gets less than a tablespoons worth of oil in it after 10k miles. So, it doesn't catch much.

its a big cloud of smoke when first started and running after that but goes away after 5-10 minutes I'm gonna change the pcv valve and put in a occ. pcv is just one bolt and it comes right out?

Going to use my Bwoody unit for my TL-S from my SRT-4. It worked great. Just need to verify that the size of the current barb that is installed will work for the TL. Don't want a bottleneck in my PCV system.

Universal Oil Catch Can, PT Cruiser GT | BWP Automotive Concepts.

I will do a write up since all the oil catch can how-tos have broken pictures.

Anyone know the diameter of the PCV line on the TL?
