I pulled a 13.94 @ 103.03mph in my Base Auto!

This was done at 116ft of elevation, 90 degrees outside. Fully gutted. Full Bolt ons. I am guessing I'm the first ever auto base to break 13's on the strip.

I'm sure you aren't the first auto base to break into the 13's if you count the supercharged guys, or the infamous diet TL(also an auto base) that outruns V8 camaros

All motor, with DOCUMENTATION that it runs 13's. I know about TL Diets car. He sold it anyway. I have paperwork, that's what I'm looking for.

Nice work. Don't mind the negative people who will come along and downplay your accomplishments. Their corn flakes are a little soggy. You are the first AZ documented base automatic in the 13's.

Also, this is the more appropriate forum for this stuff. You can post your slip in the sticky:

Yeah man, I feel like I could hit 13.7 in the winter, maybe even better than that. The car felt sluggish because of the heat.

You should really look into getting a torque converter. You're still cutting 2.1 60 fts, and only running 9.0 in the 1/8th. All your ET is on the top end. If you could launch, I could see shaving .5 - .8 sec off your ET. Look at the timeslip you raced against. It was a half a second ahead of you in the 1/8th, and ended up running nearly half a second faster in the 1/4, but 5mph slower. You need some gearing bad.

Seems like what works best is not launching at the full brake torque RPM because now I spin wheels when launching at 2k. Gonna try just flooring it next time

Honda Acura Torque Converter

IPT is a good place to start for the Torque Converter. I'm also wondering if the Megashift will be adaptable to a 5AT (MegaShift/GPIO Transmission Controller). Might be a good investment.

The trans won't blow up lol there's a guy I know running a 150 shot of nitrous on the stock auto trans in his base and he's still full weight, more likely to blow on his lmao but nothing

Remove spare tire/jack and replace with a tire plug kit+air pump. Saves ~30lbs. Lightweight battery/tray another ~20lbs+. Air intake and j pipe together another ~10-15lbs etc. Seats are heavy too but pricey to replace like those front rotors you mentioned. If you're brave, removing front/rear bumpers will save another ~30lbs.

The point of no return was when he hacked all the interior up because he didn't use a Factory service manual to remove things without destroying them.

A good converter really helps if you can hook up. Going from stock to 2800 stall in my Chevelle was very noticeable.

1/4 or on the streets?

G37 usually runs 13.8-14.1 and traps 98-102mph stock.

The G37x is awd and weighs 200lbs (3800lbs curb total) more than a RWD G37 so the G37x might actually be slightly slower.

I think at the drag strip you'll win.

In the streets from a 30, 60 or 80 roll the G37 will win to 125mph.

Your TL falls on its face after 110mph thanks to 4th gear. My G37 continues to pull past 110mph easily compared to my previous 5AT TL.

At the end of the day you have a completely gutted, bare-bones, uncomfortable, noisy "dedicated" drag car with full bolt-ons and lightweight wheels that runs about the same times as a completely stock G37. Who's the real winner here?

When I drive through my city all I do is turn heads because the exhaust sounds incredible. Total sleeper car.
