Does this mod require a little bit of time to take effect??
I just had this done last Saturday and i can't feel a consistent difference (sometimes i think it is feeling better and then sooner or later it feels like the same old shitty clutch sensation again).
WTF??...Thoughts??

it doesnt need time.....btw, your car is an 04, thats almost 6 years old...has the clutch ever been changed? its been mentioned countless times, if you can't feel a difference, its because your clutch is simply worn.

Man of God.....
So then all we do is leave The plastic thing on the left out and reasemble the SC. Reinstall it in the car. Top off and blead. Thats it? The reducer is The plastic thing on the left. Correct?

yup, got fed up and finally did it. Shoulda been the first thing i did when i bought the damn car. Sooooo much better clutch feel, quicker shifts, smoother engagement(for me at least). It now feels as the the car isnt just driving, but IM DRIVING the car!

"Ferris, you're my hero"!
What a difference that made. Like Ritchie said, I thought I just clutched like shit.
Removing, modding and replacing was a breeze. Why the friggin manual tells you to remove the battery tray is beyond me. I went through it anyway since I will be relocating my battery soon (hopefully very soon).
Bleeding on the other hand was interesting. It's not like brakes where you can feel the pedal rise. I went through a lot of fluid just to make sure I had it right. I could just imagine not being able to disengage the clutch in traffic.

although I did get stranded on the freeway when my pedal wouldn't come back up. Got towed and bled the brakes again, but when I checked my brakes on the freeway, I had enough fluid and couldn't see any leaks.
Seems to be working now however

To bleed correctly...at least for me the two times I've done this...once just to change the slave for a leaky o ring...and once for this mod...I had to prop a piece of wood from the rear of the tire onto the tranny fork to limit the fork travel while bleeding. That was the ONLY way I was able to get ALL the air out. Otherwise it'd be soft the next morning. I could pump it back up to get me home but once I did the wood thing...I've been golden for months.

I went out and bought a hand operated vacuum bleeder for $60. Figured this would get me to flush the brakes as I should. Still couldn't tell if I was getting all the air out because the vacuum also sucked air where the tubing went over the fittings, but I basically drained the reservoir like 4 times so I think I am good. The pedal has been the same for the past 3 days.

The PITA is having to refill since the tank is so small.
But based on how the vacuum pumps works, I wished I had bought a forced system instead. I am going to try using hose clamps to see if it works better.

Well...the motive one is sweet cause it DOES refill the master WHILE maintaining pressure. But I found that I didn't seal it well enough and it was overflowing down my driveway too. I'm sure if I had been patient I would have had better results.

I can't wait to do this! My clutch definitely isnt engaging like it used to, maybe this will help! I always wondered why there was a hesitation when I shifted. I thought I shifted faster than the clutch could engage haha. This is something I definitely need. I feel like it will almost help good drivers more than poor drivers, but I could be wrong! I'm excited!!
