1701 Santa Rosa Ave.
Santa Rosa, Ca
SQi and SQc

It is going to be a tough show, last time they had 25 competitors from expert, manufacturer reps, etc...these guys are serious about their systems. I did manage to pull out a 1st in the roolie class and third overall for the show...we'll see what happens tomorrow

Just got home from Santa Rosa...won 1st Place in rookie class. What's cool is they give you a detailed score sheet with ratings in each area. The next meet is in Huntington Beach on August 8th. If I get permission from the wife, I plan on attending. Primary areas of focus will be tuning, and tightening up the install of my DRC, and a few other little things. I don't know if anyone into systems lives near huntington beach, if so, I strongly suggest attending. Great place to meet cool people and learn new stuff

We'll have some acura girls, but they're just there for photo's with the cars

Here's the address:

Beach Autosound Sound Off
18042 Beach Blvd Huntington Beach, CA 92648-1305 - (714) 979-8468

If you can, sign-up. The judges are cool and you will learn a lot about your cars system and the kinds of things you can do to make it sound better. They won't embarrass you or anything...very professional.

Who knows, maybe CSW will show

If I don't say otherwise, I will be there...

I'm nowhere near that level, I wish you could've listened to mine at the meet but I have a pretty good idea of what I need to do after listening to yours.

I was surprised, I thought yours would sound "boring" for lack of a better word but it sounded great.

Out of curiosity, do you think more people are using a 3-way or 2-way setup?

I didn't even fully crank it up for you

I saw more three way...but three way, especially if you go active, which means direct from amp to speakers, is a lot more difficult to tune and make sound good. There are plenty of real good sounding two way systems. As a matter of fact the winner of the pro class runs a two way with one 10'' sub and it sound great!!

The comp was great!!! Some seriously nice cars and set-ups. I was only able to pull in a 2nd place finish, but i changed some tuning and a few other things.

To bad you guys wren't able to mak it. a bunch of diferent set-up, different equipment, and this judge was TOUGH, but fair and spent time explaing whyhe scored the thing the way he did, very good input. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, but I know someone got some shots and I will post them when ready.

I think the next meet is in vacaville, then fresno, then another down south somewhere. If you are really into car audio, it is a great place to go, everyone will let you check out their car, listen to the system, and answer questions.

Hope to some of you guys at the next one
