Is their anyway to make the navi screen play other things besides the navi? For example I would like to make it play DVD's and stuff with out having to replace the screen with something else.

not that i know of but taggin along that would be cool... my old pioneer navi i had in my work truck had a switch i could by pass and play dvds while driving... i know the rear trunk mounted dvd reader which contains the gps disk i tried puttin in a dvd and it said error can not read disk

you can't just put a dvd in the nav unit and have it play, but there are ways to play dvds with the right products.

check out a thread in the audio section i started with similar questions, "iphone 3g dock/nav" or something like that. hth
