2004 Acura tL and Iphone 6S

I have a iPhone 6s and I tried pairing it with my 2004 Acura tl but the vehicle never appeared in my Bluetooth page. I even tried CarPlay but it didn't show up either. It didn't let my iPhone 5S pair either. Could it be the HFl module that's not working? or you can't pair the phones in general?
Thank you

HandsFreeLink | Acura.com

More than likely not compatible with HFL, check the website above.

The HFL should work fine with the iPhone 6, iPhone 5S, etc. Other owners have been using those iPhones on the 3G TL for years; I am using an iPhone SE with mine.
Make sure the MID doesn't say "booting up" and then activate and say "set up" to let the HFL guide you through the pairing process.
If the MID says "booting up" or the HFL does not respond when you activate it and say "set up", then the HFL is not working.

I follow the steps that the system tells me. I put 0000 as my code and everything but nothing appears on my phone

Try "1234" as a code instead.
You also need to activate the phone's Bluetooth and Bluetooth search mode then.

I have a 2004 TL and an iPhone 6S. They will pair. I did not use Car Play. If you have the Owners Manual for the car, follow the instructions in there. Between the instrument cluster menu and the steering wheel controls, it will connect. Once it connects the firs time time, it will connect every time.
