Getting new brakes
Well, brake PADS, anyway.
I posted awhile back about my brakes squealing, and I took the car in today to get it looked at. The service writer called me back and said they were ordering parts - that there was an updated brake pad for my car.
So if you're having problems with the brakes squealing as you come to a stop, you may have new pads waiting for you. I gather this isn't a full-fledged recall, but one of those "silent recalls", where they'll fix it if the customer asks about it.
