2016 paws
My new 2016 has developed a small noise that comes from the steering column housing. It sounds like a small spring being stretched when I make turns either to the left or right at slow speeds, say 20 MPH or less.
Anyone else experienced this?

There may not be many 2016 owners out there yet.
I have been driving a 2016 PAWS for a few days (I get my 2016 SH this afternoon), and no, it does not have that noise.
If it is subtle spring sound, perhaps it is the clock spring? There is a TSB for earlier models that have a squeal, but that may not be what you describe.
The car is very quiet, so I think we may sometimes hear things normally squelched by typical road and car noise. It can be maddening.
When in doubt, dealer check for any new car with warranty.

It could be that there just aren't enough 2016 owners making note of it yet for them to realize that the problem's still there.

Thanks for the reference but this is not a screeching sound. Simply sound like a spring that is being stretched when the well is turned either right or left. I'll take it in when I have time and report back with the results. maybe Son of TSB-031
