New Member Here With Pic
Hello All,
I'm a new member here and also want to modify my RLX (unable to find lowering springs/coilovers as of yet). I cannot tell you how tired I am of hearing bad reviews. I too felt remorse when I traded my 2010 Acura TL for my RLX but quickly fell in love with it's charm, handling and looks. I've had Z's/G's, other Honda's/Acura's and driven countless BMW's and Mercs. I love the comfort and how quiet it is. I especially love the lights and found it much brighter/wider beam than the single stack MDX (loaner). Yes it gets jittery over some uneven bumps but I don't find it to bad. Only issue I have is the navigation system. The thing that really blows my mind is how much the media loves the ugly new Lexus IS/ES models or the new Infiniti Q50. Has anyone seen the lights up close on the IS? Ugly as I don't know what. Oh well....let the beating continue for the RLX and the praise for the TLX.

^^^ WOW!! Welcome on Acurazine and what a great way to make an intro with a sexy RLX!! It looks great from that angle too....a very under appreciated vehicle until seen in the flesh (almost like me actually *lol*)
Not 100% sure I like the wheels though but I am not a fan of the OEM wheels either....

LOL thanks weather for the welcome. Wasn't sure if this place was just full of trolls lol. Yeah I kinda got bored with the 19's and thought 22's would go well. As always, wheels are constantly subjective to people's taste.

^^ *lol* Well, don't get your hopes too high...there are trolls everywhere That being said, I find Acurazine to be one of the best forum I have been and why I keep coming. People are very passionate about their cars and opinions but most times, they debate their views in a very respectful manner which is all that people appreciate.
As far as the 22", I have no problem in going bigger....Its just the design of the rims I am not sure yet. Its not horrible, just not quite as sophisticated as I like them. I wish Acura would have a nicer accessory wheel available for the RLX, at least giving owners a choice.

Yeah I agree with you. The smaller 18" wheels are super ugly. 19's look decent to me and really does cut down on wind noise as advertised. If they had an awesome accessory wheel I would have gone that route.

Welcome to AZ!
How about a profile pic of the whole car with those wheels?
You are on the bleeding edge as far as mods, so it'll be interesting to see where you take the RLX.

Thanks for the pics, they look awesome. However, there are legitimate concerns about some components, as other owners write here. All other things being equal, I wonder how the PAWS is affected by the 22" on your car?

Not sure where you live but those wheels/tires would not last long on the freeways and roads I drive on. I have already replaced a wheel/tire combo due to road hazards. And, they certainly have to affect the ride. Welcome to the club.

I really don't think the P-AWS is being influenced by the wheels. It just pivots the wheels on demand. Plus they are lightweight two piece not heavy lead lol.

Thanks! Well we all take risks with our wheels/tires. Especially if you live around a big city. Due to thinner sidewalls you can feel more road feedback however it's not uncomfortable by any means.

The only modification I'm thinking of is Remote Start.
:-)
It's been a wicked winter so far and I think I'd have appreciated having that on a few mornings.
Congratulations on your car, and the wheels look great.

Really like those wheels. Dunno if you'll sustain wheel damage due to how thin the rubber is but the look really makes the RLX a lot more aggressive. TSW makes a design that looks a little like that called Interlagos that I have been eyeing for a while.
Great looking mod !
