Weird Message - Incompatible USB

Weird Message - Incompatible USB
I have a 2014 MDX and I just started having the message "Incompatible USB Device..." pop up on my upper screen. It's strange since I have not changed anything with my setup. I leave an iPhone charger plugged into the center console. Nothing was actually charging each time the message has popped up.
Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks Tigmd99! I have tried a bunch of different things. I tried charging an old iPod with a different charger and it worked fine. The problem is intermittent, of course, making it hard to figure out what is triggering it.

I started having the same issue. I upgraded to an iPhone6. It's intermittent but happens pretty consistently (once to twice a week). I've tried a different cable, again it seems to work and then I'll get the error pop up. Once the error is displayed my phone will actually stop charging! I have to restart my car to clear the message. Rebooting the phone doesn't work. I have a 2014 Acura MDX. I'm so disappointed with the electronics in this car, it's garbage. It's sad because I love Acura.

Im having the same issue but only after I updated to IOS 9 on my iPhone 6. I have the tech/entertainment package 2014 MDX. Before the upgrade my ip6 would charge through the usb and play songs. My bluetooth still works fine however but still getting the non compatible error. I've reset my phone and I'm curious if there is a way to reset my acura system in a hope that it will start recognizing my phone again.

This happens every once in a while for no apparent reason, and simply unplugging/plugging back in seems to fix. Tends to be an intermittent iOs software thing that happens.
I ran into a few more issues when running a Beta version of iOs software, but have been fine since. It's 99.9% of the time the phone, and not the car. There are so many different phone profiles, software profiles, unique settings you have on your phone, etc. that's where the differences tend to come into play.
