Vossen 22X9 with ET30 - How bad will it stick out ?
Hello All,
Thanks for reading. I have a 2017 MDX and wanted to have vossen on it. Spoke with vossen over chat and the rep told me that the only available and recommended option for the CV7 would now be 22x9 Et30. I know that et38 would fit nicely but how about et30 ? I just hate it when the wheels stick out of the fender like a hot rod (BTW, the ET38 does not exist on the 5x120 pattern as I was told by Vossen)
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bo

Assuming you have the 20x8 stock wheels (ET55), 20x9/ET30 will result in about an inch and a half of additional 'poke' over the stock wheels, or the equivalent of 38mm spacers.
That's a healthy amount of poke. You can measure as you would for spacers to see how much you can get away with. Put a straight edge vertically against your tire, and measure from the fender to the inside of the straight edge. Alternately, you can place the straight edge against the fender, and measure to the tire, as demonstrated
. Google "measuring for spacers", and you'll get a lot of hits. You'll probably find a difference between front and rear.
