New MDX Owner

Just purchased 2015 model with the technology package.

A couple of questions, if you don't mind...

1. Under what conditions does the engine operate with three active cylinders?

2. If the car is locked and I open the tailgate by activating the switch on the tailgate it seems to open the other doors. Is there a control that causes only the tailgate to unlock, and leaves the other doors as they were?

3. If I want to open All of the doors, having opened the drivers door by grabbing the handle, I apparently have to activate the other doors by grabbing the rear door handle. This has to be done before I actually have opened the drivers door, or else the grabbing of the rear door locks the drivers door and I have to start all over. Do I have this right?

Might be wise to ask this in the MDX forum...

I tried to post this in the MDX forum. I went to the 2014+ sub-forum. I selected new thread. I posted the message. It showed-up someplace else.

Why did it not post to the sub-forum I was on?

I see what you are saying.

What happened is that I came to this sub-forum and started a thread. I posted my message, thinking that I had posted the message on this sub-forum, but it posted elsewhere. I received an email notification from SamDoe1, telling me I had posted to the wrong place (see his message, above). I went looking for my thread. I found a marker for it, saying that it had been moved. I did not understand what had happened. Now I see that an administrator had put it into the correct sub-forum.

This is the answer to your question. Now perhaps you can help me with my question. Why, when I am in this sub-forum, and I start a new thread, does it appear in a different place, and not in this sub-forum?. That this occurred was not a fluke. I just went through the process again, and I could see that if I posted a second new thread it was also going to go someplace other than this sub-forum. The only thing I can think of is that I am using an iPad, which may not work right with this website, although I don't know why that would be.

It doesn't look as if I'm allowed to post a DIY question here, for some reason. Can someone post if for me? I'm desperately looking for information about repairing or replacing a passenger side grab handle on a 2005 MDX. One end of mine came apart from the mount. The threaded part of the screw is still there, but my mechanic can't figure out how to repair it. Do you have to remove the headliner? Please help! Thanks.

Never mind. I figured it out. Guess I need to find a new mechanic! Boy, was that easy.
