Beat me to it!! (lol)

The review is giving a decent (but not glowing) review for the MDX - Acura needs to be careful, the MDX is their best seller - They can't afford to be complacent or screw up this vehicle, that is pretty much the only hope they have left.

It's an MMC so, it wasn't going to deviate too much from the original '14 model. The addition of the hybrid and captains chairs is cool, though I bet neither will sell particularly well. $.02

I have a '17 MDX Navi. I regret the day I set my foot at Acura dealership. There was no TQI done on the delivered vehicle, many subsystems within the car were not activated (Acura Link, Sirius XM, etc.), dealer did not do a proper walk-through. Vehicle had scratches on the finish that could not be removed by wax. Dashboard had a blemish (like someone cut it with utility knife). Last but not least, the engine/transmission has a shuddering noise which cannot be remediated up to date. Their whole business model is ***IF*** Acura technician deemed there is a problem, it will be fixed. Otherwise it's customer "imagining" things and vehicle working as designed. Let it sink in fellas. To me they blew the chance to get this right with their "best seller".

I would say they were kind. I like my Acura a lot for the price point, but I really wish they used less plastic around the head unit and the vents in the dash. My golf sportwagen was less than half the price and feels more luxurious in those areas. This was the same complaint I had with my very first Acura as well though. They need to just step away from Honda a little bit more and it would be perfect

This has been an issue on the MDX for a really long time. Even my 2007 RDX had more soft touch materials than my 2007 MDX does, but both are beat by a long shot compared to the 3G TL. In relation to the 3G, I was expecting a lot more soft materials, IMHO VW does really well in this regard.

Acura MDX is the best in the market for the following reasons:
1. Sporty
2. Premium material
3. Powerful
4. Spacious
5. Acura's reliability (may be not like before but still)
6. Premium/luxury brand (may be not for some people but still)
7. Very reasonably price when you compare to other 3 row SUVs

I agree that Acura needs to be very careful to keep their customers happy and innovate but the price and quality of MDX are the two main reasons that it's keeping it number 1 in the market. For 2017 model, the majority of reviews praise MDX. People can scream and write 100 reviews that XC90 is the best SUV but cost of maintenance and initial cost are the reasons that will never match MDX sales numbers.

MDX's biggest issue is interior. It needs to have a better dash...leather stitching, new infotainment and etc.
I agree 100% with this part of the article: "Where the Acura can’t measure up to more prestigious crossovers is on the inside." but let's not forget the price difference. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...wd-test-review
