Any one with LED light bar projects ?

I seen them a lot in offroad vehicles/truck. I'm not 100% sure I need them yet but certain part of new england I visit have no street lights... it pitch dark. I had issues finding road with TSX and my RX HIDs. I'm hoping the jewel led will be better.. if not Ill look to install one of these LED bars.

I'm debating where to put it.. either on top using roof rack or using bumper guard (smaller)

It's funny, I have thought of the same thing about getting the Light bar for my 15 MDX. I recently went up to the Mountain for snow watching at night, the MDX Head/Fog lights were extremely bright but they would not covered beyond the road which left any scenery unseen. I thought of getting the Light bar but mainly for looks. I think it will be pretty kool to have. But where to mount and running the wires will be a challenge. So please let me know when you got 1 done.

I looked at mounting it on the roof rails but it sits too far back. I think my best bet is mounting it on the front bumper guard but most owners do not have one.. ill keep looking.. hopefully Ill find a good bracket one day

This is what I dont want to do, drill into the roof of the car..

Yup, I don't wanna have to drill anything but which I did for some of the accessories for MDX, I.e. back UPPER bumper guard, and the front bumper trim. I would drill it if these light bars are Acura OEM. The Led bar does look bad ass tho, and I think it looks best onntop of the windshield, make the MDX differ from the rest. Thanks man and please let me know.

I dont have cross bar yet, is ours round ? I saw some mount thats circular, perfect for crossbar but it'll sit too far back. I found some extended mount but again, might sit too far back.

I saw a 90s jeep today with like a 50" led bar across the bumper.. insane.. people are getting it everywhere. At work theres a crv that has it in the front... lol

Yeah bro, our crossbars are straight but curve up a little like a bridge. Like I said, the best spot for it will still be above the windshield, that way you can get more area coverage.

Wow, that is awesome bro. Can you take more pics of it and show us how did you run the wires with or without drilling.

this is my friends ride! he's pretty much handy with electronics and mechanical work.
he works at a Honda dealership.
so, I'm sure there was drilling to hide the wires.
he recently got in a wreck and here you see his car almost ready to take delivery. that's Also his Honda Odyssey

Yeah, I see that Roof Rails and cross bars are aftermarket which on the TLX, The front crossbar sits closer to the windshield. On the MDX, the front crossbar sits way back after the Moonroof, but can possibly be elevate which will create lots of drag.

I think if you need the lighting, creating drag would be one of the side effects.
Modding cars is about a balance of functionality and looking cool.

Ive never looked into any kinds of LED bars but kept running across this thread title and knew my friend had done so and just wanted to give ideas.
