2014-2016 MDX vs 2017 suspension difference?

Is there any difference between the 2014-2016 vs 2017 suspension? I thought they stiffened it up on the 2017? If so, are they interchangeable? Thanks.

Could it be the size of the rims?

I got a 2017 tech as a rental and I have to say the 2017 feels more solid and planted than my 2015. Over crazy back to back dips, I feel the 2015 would cause me to hop a bit in the car, but the 2017 absorbs it better. But the 2017 did feel heavier also, wondering if its the 9 speed playing a factor. Is the weight the same for both cars?

I would check out website that sell Acura OEM replacement parts to compare part numbers for suspension components. Some site have an exploded view of parts and you can compare individual parts (shocks, struts, control arms, RSB, etc...).

The PNs for the rear shock absorber are not available yet, but they did change the springs and bolts on the rear, and I would assume the shock absorber changed as well given the TSB last year for the 14-16 shocks.

The PNs for the front shocks remain mostly unchanged. Only the bolts and the top rubber seat changed (which correctly reflects the TSB where the old seat would shimmy out over time).
