14-15 Driving "Feel"

I just picked up a '14 MDX and have generally been happy with the car. My one complaint is the shift points and the transmissions dogged determination to hover around 1500rpm. Sure you could put it in sport mode, but then the shifts hold too long for around town driving. Further, when driving at city speeds (25-40), the car is sluggish to accelerate in the 1500-2000rpm range when using less than 50% throttle--I don't need to accelerate fast enough to downshift the transmission, but the car doesn't seem to like partial throttle application.

The car is a CPO and has been in the shop to address the two primary TSBs associated with "judder" (hood latch and transmission flush) but I still have this lagginess.

Curious to know if this is unique to my car/driving style or if others have expletives something similar?

I always drive in Sport mode in our '14 MDX Tech SH-AWD because I like the steering feel. Try it, you'll like it. :-)

Steering feel isn't really the issue at hand, but I certainly understand what you're saying. I usually drive in sport mode, though the transmission issues appear in any mode.

In addition, I get this odd resonant vibration/noise at 2000rpm under 30mph. It's like low bass from the radio, but from the engine when it really doesn't want to downshift...others?
