looking to buy these rims... 18x8 +42 5x114.3

im looking into these rims but not sure how the specs are

The wheels are Elbrus I06's in 18x8 +42, these wheels are discontinued. Overall I'd say wheels are 9/10 condition.
The tires are Continental ExtremeContact DW's in excellent condition. Staggered size (Front: 225/40/18) (Rear: 245/35/18)

Is the tires thick on these rims ?
what does staggered mean also?

thank you

Not sure what you mean by "thick". The front is stock width and the rear is 20mm wider than stock.

Staggered means the front and back are different widths, 225 vs 245. Typically people use "staggered" when talking about wheel offset differences front-to-back. But it sort of holds in this case as well.

They should fit.

I like the look too - a nice design.

No idea on that manufacturer though; never heard of them.

thick as in meaty.
profile to width ratio

with tires, you want to remain as close stock rolling diameter as possible.

what specs are stock tsx tires?

then input stock tsx tires into here:
http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator

and then input aftermarket tires and hit compare

it says
Diameter Variance:
-2.98% for the front tire...

does that mean these rims wont work for my car?

no no! the rims and tires will work!
its just that the overall diameter is less than the stock set.
which will make your speedometer off by a little.

no big deal.
Just know that when you're going 60mph, you're not really going 60mph..lol

You know you can get new tires put on, right?

Ones that are closer to stock diameter?

the rear will have a larger gap, as advised by the tire calculator, it shows it will be 1 inch less than stock rolling diameter

use the tire calculator!! as it shows the difference between rolling diameters, how far off the speedometer will be, etc.
