Installed VMR V710, Tein S-tech's. (REVIEW)

Just had the pleasure of receiving my VMR V710 wheels from Tracy at VMR. What a breeze to talk to and deal with, helped me every step of the way. Shipped me my lug nuts with my wheels, got here right when he said they would. I highly recommend going through them not only for their customer service but their quality wheels. They're better in person than in pics.
The Tein S-tech's ride very smooth and gave me the perfect drop I was looking for.
For reference the wheels are 18x8.5 et35 with 235/40/18 hankook v12's
I don't think the front springs had settled yet in the first pic

OEM lug nuts won't seat properly with aftermarket wheels.

Really? I used my OEM lugs with Enkei Razr no problem. Is there I smaller mounting base for the lug to sit flush?

nuts

OEM wheels should have spherical/ball seat, whereas aftermarket is generally tapered.

Just remember to carry a set of OEM lug nuts for the spare tire for if/when something happens to your summer tires!

Likewise, make sure your tire iron fits your aftermarket lug nut adapter.

You gonna order a set now? Probably a good idea especially since you're boosted. I wouldn't want any of the wheels to fall off

This. I carry 5 OEM lug nuts (4 regular, 1 locking) under the trunk, where the spare and parts are. You don't want to go through the effort of changing a flat on your own with an OEM scissors jack on a lowered car, only to find out you can't secure your wheel after all the work you went through!

^ This is true and correct. Although, once we determine proper ball seat size ( R13? ) then we can also suggest lug nuts that fit too. Conicals are the tried and true aftermarket lug style though!

This is also true. I don't recommend this at all: but I once had to use my donut and tried to tighten them down with my Kics R40. They worked, but I had to pull over and retorque the lugs every 5 miles or so and drove street only.

Also, that lug key should fit standard 17 or 19mm socket ( I don't recall which one ATM. Can you confirm, Corradovrsick? )

i don't get why people run a 40 series on an 18" wheel on the Cu2; it's incorrect.

The socket size is 19mm, I ran a 40 because I had perfect condition hankook Ventus v12's laying around so I figured it wouldn't matter.. Which it doesn't, still looks good rides good and doesn't rub so I'm happy with it

It is definitely a smaller rolling diameter than is recommended. That said, I run a 245/35 on my CL9. My speedo reads a bit high, but I wanted a shorter sidewall so I could run a wider size and tuck under my fenders.
Although I should say this with the disclaimer:

* Only run the recommended tire size for your vehicle. Running a smaller/larger diameter than what's recommended may result in speedo reading higher/lower, improper odometer readings, ABS and traction control issues and more.

Depends on the width. 245/40/18 is very correct. 225/45/18 is also just about right.

235/40/18 is a bit short. Its about 0.35" shorter than stock. Not much.

235/45/18 is about .48" taller than stock.

235's make it so that there's no direct match. But 235/40/18 is closer to stock than 235/45/18.

How is the ride with the S-Tech's on stock shock/struts?

I'm in the market for a set of wheels/tires on my 13 Tech.
