The pick up is a bit faster, and i get a little bit more throttle response. So the combination of te CAI and the TBS work nicely.I have only riven it to the gym and back since installation today, so i havent had a lot of time with it. But again seems to do the intended job.

Passport Escort 9500ix

Not really a mod, but thought i would share. I just got the Passport Escort 9500ix with red led.... installed with blend mount and mirror tap for clean look.

Hope to paint my calipers between today and tomorrow... we will see how that turns out!

So far i am liking it. Havent had it long enough to really test it out, but has been spot on with cops, and red light alerts. And many xband alerts that are just traffic lights, it auto learns as false positives, and never bothers you again once you pass it a few times, thanks to the built in gps.

Painted Calipers - Day 1

Before w/ Rims

Missing Rim and Caliper

All Primed Up

Painted Red w/ G2 Paint

Added Acura Logo

I also gave it 3 clear coats of VHT Paint. I dont have pics of that to upload, but i feel that i definitely took away from the bright red, and looks a little more faded. It bums me out a bit, as i feel it took away from the look.

Tomorrow i should be able to put everything back together, and post some pics if i have time.

Not sure how you wash your car, but those decals will come off in a roll through car wash. Wasted $20 on my decals. Just a heads up

But it looks like you did a good job on painting them

Thanks man.

I only do hand wash. One of the reasons i did the clear coats was to protect the decals... lets see if they last.

honestly, it doesnt look bad in the pictures on the car!

however, i have seen painted calipers in person and they didnt look too nice, even in black (maybe the person just didn't paint it well.)

next time if you want the lettering to last a bit longer just go to ur regular advance or pep boys and get a can of clear this will protect it from peeling off but good work

Thanks guys. Appreciate the feedback.

Thinking about using lamin-x pre-cut vinly tints... smoked (17%), for my next mod.

http://www.lamin-x.com/Acura-TSX-Sed...rs-p/ac215.htm

What do you guys think? any experience with the product? Also, is smoked not too dark so that the cops dont bother me?

^ Bigman09 did his and said it can be a pain to put on. Take your time and take the lights out to make it easier. I forgot the color(darkness) he used. I am thinking of using these as well on my tail lights.

I used to have them, they are pretty easy to put on, just spray some windex on the lights before your install so you can move it around and as you are heating and stretching it will evaporate the water underneath, you will feel it getting harder to move around. Also, you can check out a picture on the first page of my progress thread if you wanna see darkness or whatever. I also did reverse cut outs before I took them off, I think that's around page 5 or 6.

IMO I think red vinyl would be better, especially on your car.

I was just ready to change things up. I thought I could do a clean BMW style reverse with the red, which I think worked out for me lol. But the tints were great, went well with tinted windows too. They were very easy to install and it didnt cut down in the visibility of the lights very much. Maybe like 10%. If you are going to tint smoked is the way to go. Or you could be in the elite RTTCU2

hey gameover,
when you put the legends on, all you did was take off the OEM wheels and put in the legends with new tires? you didn't do anything else? spacers, offset problem etc..?

15mm Spacers in the rear. That's it my friend. Now they run flush with tires in the front.

On a side note, i should have my lamin-x smoked tail light tints put on hopefully tomorrow.

^What kind of spacers did you use? Just regular bolt on spacers or studded/extended studs?

Dont use windex...its ammoina based which isint great for your cars paint nor the tint film itself.

Instead, just take a spray bottle and fill it with water and put like 2-3 drops of dishwashing soap in it. This is what most tint installers use when they install your window tint.
