VSA disable mod

Would anyone be interested in automatically disabling their VSA as soon as the car turns on?
FYI, this is a safety feature, soooo its for off-road use only.

Does it involve unchecking the box on flashpro?

I don't think unchecking that box disables the vsa.

Well I think I figured out a way to have it disabled automatically whenever you start your car.
You only have to hook up three wires using the Pac Audio TR-7. One wire goes to ground, the second goes to the VSA switch and the third goes to a switched wire that goes ground or positive whenever the car is started.
The only downside is that indicator will stay lite in the gauge cluster. You will still be able to enable it if you choose to.

that's a good thing it's indicated on the meter though... otherwise you wouldn't know.

It's cool, but.... $60 for a PAC to do this. Maybe not economical, unless you can add some other auto-features.. like.. folding passenger seat up when someone enters the rear.

I'll figure out the wiring and the programming of the tr-7 when I get a chance.

Yeah but people will be like, "so you have two fog light switches?"
You can actually hook up a on/off switch too. Just have to find a place to put the switch. Also, I don't know if having a constant connection would throw off the ecu/vsa system.

first of all what PEOPLE are looking that closely at the switches on the drivers side lower part of the dash.

Well, me for one. It would bother me lol. Besides, the vsa switch needs a momentary negative signal not a constant. It could have some ill effects if it's always constant. That's why the tr-7 is a better choice. It puts out a programmable momentary signal. That would be the best way of doing it.

A relay in line with a fog switch could do the same momentary. Not a big deal.

What's everyone's fascination with turning off VSA? Why can't you just turn it off when you want to "race" someone. Otherwise leaving it on just might save your life in certain situations...

Because it's a distraction. I usually forget to turn it off and it's especially annoying for us boosted guys.

Actually, have you seen my video on youtube with VSA vs no VSA.. I can accelerate faster with VSA on than with it off. I just wheels spin form 3k rpm to 7k rpm with it off.

I guess I just like to be in control of my wheels. I've been boosted before the vsa days. I'm used to it.
