O2 defouler

Does anyone have a working setup? I'm currently using the defouler that skunk 2 sent me along with a second defouler that I made using spark plug non-foulers. The only reason I did this was because the s2 part wasn't working so I thought that the sensor needed to be a little further from the exhaust. Anyways, it worked for about a couple days and cel (p0420) came back on. Any advice? I've never had this much trouble getting a defouler to "work".

keep playing with the distance.

that is the only way you'll fix it, if you keep playing on how far it is in the stream.

Also, I was thinking that being boosted might be what's causing the issue.

Hopefully it just needs a little more spacing.

Distance and orientation. From the RV6 PCD thread, many have concluded that the defouler needs to be tightened in a way so that the defouler faces upwards (upwards meaning, if the PCD was installed, the defouler opening would look to be facing up). However, since you're boosted, my suggestion might not help since there will be a lot more exhaust gases coming out of your system.

Good luck

Also, RV6's defouler is a 90 degree defouler. Not sure if Skunk 2's is also 90 degrees.

I've already installed it pointed upwards. It was the easiest way to access the o2 without lifting the car up so I set it up like that. I just picked up some more spark plug non-foulers from the auto store. I'll update once I get a chance to install and drive it.

The defouler I have is 90 degrees but it's pretty short. I'm thinking that because of the boost, there's more exhaust pressure that is being forced to the o2. I'm almost 100% certain that making it longer will work. I'm just worried about the o2 wire harness not reaching anymore lol.

Installed the spark plug defouler. I simply added one more piece. I need to drive the car and let the system set.
