How to: add dual power led strips to your rear bumper reflectors.

A few questions
What's gauge wire did you use?
And what did you use to splice the wires to the existing brake light wires? I was thinking Wire crimps?
Also do you only need the diode for the 6v wire?
Thanks in advance.

I am a TOTAL beginner with all of this
Are you stripping a segment of the brake wire and the parking wire so you can connect the respective wires on the LED strip in continuity like an end to side type connection? What do you use to hold this in place?
Also.... where do I connect the grounding wire aspect of the LED strip?

Bumping is like sooooooo illegal. JK.
The wiring is simple really. There are three wires to look for and they are all in the same bulb harness.
1-Ground
2-Constant (aka parking light wire) has 12v when parking lights are on.
3-Switched (aka brake like wire) has 12v only when brake is applied.
Use a test light or multi meter to find each one.

BTW they started making these a while ago. So now you don't have to butcher your existing refelctors.

The only electrical car work I've ever done is installing new speakers and head unit in my old Cherokee... which required some splicing but it had full on directions so thanks for the explanation so I don't feel like I'm winging it
and funny you mention that, that is actually the exact thing I bought, arrived yesterday, I'm wondering if these people got the idea from here, it's flat out identical
