Power steering hose leak

What's up guy, How's everyone doing today?

I'm trying to figure out the size hose and clamps i would need to fix a power steering leak? I have a 1999 Acura tl and i don't know the name of the part that's located in the rear on top of the transmission but i do know that's it has something to do with my power steering? The two hoses it connects to is leaking p/s fluid and i'm trying to figure out what size hoses and clamps i would need to fix my leak. I attached a picture of where it's leaking, The hoses are #7 and clamps are#36 that need to be replaced...Thank You.

The hose clamps was the culprit...I'm 100% sure those were the original p/s clamps from the factory and never been changed, I went to advance auto and bought a variety pack of fuel line hose clamps and it fixed the leak. If any other 1999 TL owner's have a power steering leak the first thing i would check is the 2 small hoses that goes into the speed sensor

good catch!

Have you changed/FLUSHED the PS fluid? that's due every 60kmiles, easy diy
Don't want crud growing in the steering rack and pump
use HONDA PS fluid -there is something special in it the TL likes

Its that time in a cars life that you need to take a socket, wrench or screwdriver to every fitting you can reach

On the race car this was done after every event weekend, amazing what gets shaken loose!
Imagine what 15 years of road use has done to your baby~

Would this be the same diagram and setup as other model years? I have a 2001 and have a fluid leak from what seems to be toward the back of the transmission

back of transmission?? unfortunately not the same as this buddy. Power steering hose is located on the left (as you look at the engine).

Sounds like rear main seal leak. What color is said fluid? My guess is either brown/black = motor oil or transmission fluid (reddish/black)

Actually all the 99-03 TL's except the Type S have the ps drive going into the transmission in the rear. So yes your 2001 should have the two ps lines going to the drive unit.

True I'd say. I just recently discovered on my 07 TL a leak at the rear subframe. Took me a while to figure out where it was coming from. It is a return line hose and looked like the clamp. I just tightened it up yesterday as it seemed loose. I have my fingers crossed it stopped it as the hose is a real pain to get at to try and change it.

I actually have the same problem. At my latest oil change the Honda dealer said I have a transmission leak, but I know it's not leaking as the fluid levels have stayed the same. However, I'm getting a nasty black, wet sheen on the bottom of my transmission. And guess what? My PS fluid needs to be topped off about 1x per year.

My guess is the leak is coming from the PS system somewhere behind the transmission. The hoses at the PS pump are also leaking and there is evidence that my fluid reservoir has overflowed in the past. I think I may have a bad o-ring at the pump which is sucking air into the system.
