Nice, I like it. Been wanting to tint since I got my '03, the black leather is brutal in the summer. OPtions are limited on how dark I can go because Maryland has lots of restrictions on tinting.

That's what the % number means, only letting in that much light & heat.
Here in FL, 35% is darkest legal tint. I have 20%, lots of guys like the 5% look, but all block heat and light.
Think of it as the sunshade that you might put up in your windscreen when you park your car, only tint is permanently affixed and looks boss af !

That makes sense...
I always wondered what the % was meant for.
Most of the sun enters through my windshield, it's ilegal to tint the windshield up here. Time to "pay" a visit to my eye doctor, or dermatologist. 😜

Tint film filters the light, only allowing x% of the rays to come through the windows.

Ya, it's illegal down here, too. Doesn't mean I haven't thought about it.... haha
There is clear ceramic tint out there that is popular for windshields.
It's clear, so no law trouble, and still blocks a decent amount of heat form what I'm told.

I'm in Florida so the darker the tint the better, especially for those of us with black leather interior. I don't remember what % I had put on my 2002 typeS, but the tint was put on a few weeks after purchasing typeS. with the black leather and tint being so dark you couldn't see me sitting in the drivers seat at night. the point is only last year have I start to notice small cracks and tears in my passenger seat and to rear passenger driver side due to tint fading. GO DARK, A TINT TICKET AINT SHIT!

We get VI along with tickets for tint in the front.
If we don't remove it we can lose our cars.
