My '03 TL-S A-SPEC

Hi guys,

Been lurking around this forum with a few posts here and there over the past 2 years, and thought I'd share my ride.

Just had it lowered with 1.5 finger gap in the front, and slightly higher in the back. Thinking of going 1 finger all around in the next month or so.

Car currently has 105KM (~65K miles).

Some minor aesthetic mods I'm planning to do in the near future are..

18" wheels (currently running 17" A-Specs)
license plate relocation
tsudo axle back
yellow fog overlays (?)
window visors, tint and possibly a rear window spoiler

(let me know if you guys have visors or window spoiler for sale )

Thanks!

Decided to switch things up and go for the yellow theme with yellow fog overlays and nokya hyper yellow DRLs. Also relocated the license plate temporarily until I screw it in properly (hangs a bit low right now)

Just ordered window visors, and will be tinting the rears when they arrive.

Also decided to get the mesh grill. Anyone have pictures of it on a NBP?

Apologies for the potato quality lol

Oh wow that really looks nice! I think the yellow colored fog lens make it look like a special edition and those wheels look fantastic on a Black Colored TL!

But wait I also like the nokya hyper yellow DRLs but is that a difficult mod? I ask because I spent awhile a couple nights ago wondering if I could do something custom to my headlights, and I hope you don't mind me copying this because I just ordered a set of Yellow Fog assemblies.

But how do you do that in the headlight?! Can you do a write up on what you recommend to buy and how you did it?

Thanks, sweet ride!

Just a little info. Fog lights are really just for extreme weather conditions to see the lines of the road. Most oem fogs offer no real visual performance. Also based on my research there are no really good yellow bulbs. A good resource is danielsternlighting.com. Email him a question and he can help. He knows his stuff. I got lamin-x vinyl film on my WRX fogs and stuck with a white bulb based on the yellow bulbs not offering anything. Plus I like the yellow look. BTW, that TL looks sweet.

An article on yellow fogs from danielsternlighting.com:

Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply

It's an interesting article. I think he discusses the history and science behind it more than answering the question directly. Still a good read.

Thanks for the compliment!

The Nokya DRLs are just a plug and play. The bulb itself is covered in a yellow film, so naturally it will reflect off our headlight housing, providing a yellowish tone as you see in the picture.

Hey what's up? Can you send any links on where to buy the right Nokya DRLs you used in your car? I just don't know which ones I need? Your car looks great! Thanks!

Hey guys didn't want to make a new thread, but I realized that my temporary license plate setup has scruffed up / scratched the bottom right of my front lip (where plate sits).

Anyone have suggestions on how to fix / cover it up? Thanks!

^ You might have mistaken me for another person? I've always done my own oil changes, except the last time because jack couldn't fit under car

Anyways, had some minor changes since the last time I updated:

--> Hacked off my 2 rear mufflers and replaced it with a straight pipe with new tips. Loving the sound that it produces now...much more aggressive and not rice.

I can record an exhaust clip if you guys want, but basically sounds the same as Skirmich's (he gave me the idea!)

--> Switched back to halogen fogs 2500k Nokyas (was running 3000k HIDs lol)

-->Drilled my license plate into place as opposed to using zip-ties (was hanging low and scraped all the time)

--> Used plasti-dip and glossifier to black out my front grill while leaving the "A" chrome. First time using, and it looks pretty good!

Sorry for the shit pic lol

My next mod will be either a rear window spoiler or OEM/Honda Access window visors (not going for the aftermarket ones anymore)

Actually even before that, I'll be getting window tint!!

One question - anyone know how I could stick our Type S emblem on the front grill? I really like the look on many of the RSX's out there
