02ACTcLean's RE-BUILD thread.......PRAXISxDTM AUTOBODYxVIP MODULAR.......
As some of you know my TL going thru some major changes. I figured it would be appropriate to start a fresh thread of the build progress.
With the help of Team Praxis, DTM Autobody, VIP Modular Wheels, Toyo Tires, NOS Energy Drink and Meguires you may not be able to recognize it next year.
I'll start with photos of the car the day I dropped it off at DTM auto body.
On the way to DTM, I attended "The Chronicles" 3 year meet/show created by stickydiljoe.com's Joey Lee. As usual, excellent turnout, 99% quality builds and a great atmosphere. With the help of my brother, i drove my E30 and he rolled the TL to Corona, CA for the meet. Here are pics of the TL in its last days of SSM, stock fenders, RAY's wheels, and many dings and dents. Its not that I don’t like the car in its current condition, personally I love where its at right now. But its time for me to step this platform up a bit. As stated, here’s the car the day it went to the shop:
Here are the first update pics of the TL in the early stages of paint prep. All those annoying dings and dent filled, front fender straightened, etc, etc. back in September somebody backed into my trunk while I was parked at work, had an incident with my bike rack and a low parking garage(don’t ask lol) so that cause much larger dents on the trunk and roof that were popped and filled.
Check back for updates!!

Thank you all for the inputs and postive words!!
Josh, The spoiler is going on the car, and yes, i debated for a WHILE about molding it.. but I decided against it. the roof spoiler is going on the car as well.
Working with DTM to have my window visors modified/extended filled to meet in the center over the pillar, so it will flow once painted body color. Should be possible.

UPDATES!!
I received an email from DTM today with some updated build pictures, and let me say, that email definitely made my day. Thanks again to DTM for great communication, updates, and a professional take on all the work that is being completed.
The fender work was what I was really waiting for when it came to seeing the work, and these pictures didn’t disappoint. All metal work on the fender, body line remaining. I really stressed this to DTM, the fact that I wanted to keep the body line with the fender. I see a good number of cars lately that have fender work where the rear fender has lost the body line. Im not bashing them, IMO it looks much better when the rear fender matches the lines of the front fender.
Onto the pictures..
Rear fender BEFORE
Rear fender raw AFTER
Rear fender with raw bumper fill
Bumper work
After some fill work
Side mirrors with paint
I am stoked the way the build is going so far and cant wait to see some paint on it! Check back for more updates!

It doesn't look like the same red looks like he took it off another tl and is going to paint it. Maybe he needed a new rear bumper.

And you read my mind Josh, Agreed!
I notified DTM a few days ago to keep the visors at their present state. Our visors dont meet in the middle, so it will look funky if painted.
Lets do this!!! What up Jay!
Again thanks for all the feedback!
next update should be paint..
