I agree with that as I said before but I also left this portion of the intake in the car so that the cold air can get funneled into the short ram. I know it's not going to be as cold and sealed as stock but it's still better than removing the rest of the system.

Don't need to do any math

Just look for adapters that have a 64.1mm ID (inner diameter) and a 72.5mm OD (outter diameter)

But f they're aftermarket wheels, they might have had a bore larger than the BMW. Best bet might be contacting the wheel mfg to see what you need to install on the TL.

I blame my phone. It's good at making calls and pretty good at being a computer, but sometimes it thinks for itself. Although, the same advice stands for a TL.

Making sure you do something properly is not being negative OP you ask for advice, then completely disregard it and write people off as being negative

Inb4 the accident pictures

Okay so I found out the aftermarket rim bore is 72.69... is the standard bore of the Acura 64.1 millimeters?

This is exactly what i was talking about when i said to take the car into a tire shop and tell them what you want. Now you are guessing and checking based on what people in a forum say. For all wr know there could be one tid bit of info we are forgetting resulting in damage done to your car.

Take the car to a damn shop. Show them the wheels you want and tell them you need hubcenteic rings. They will figure out the size needed and order them for you.

Seriously there is no reason to do all this yourself. If you went to a tire shop before they would have suggested wheels and tires that didnt leave you with what now looks like some Mexipoke.

Let a tire shop help you. They are professionals.

The measurements are there. I got the measurements from the wheels off the box that I purchase them in and the stock measurements I found on An oEM Acura site. I just needed to know if they are available to be purchased online or if I have to go get them custom-made. From the looks of it I need to get them custom-made. I don't have time during the week to go to a tire shop so I want to get this done online so I can have the parts by this Friday.

Of course I'm going to have a shop do the work but in the meantime being that it's Sunday and nowhere is open, I'm just looking for suggestions or asking if anyone else can help and find them online that has experience with this sort of topic.

I doubt you need custome rings made. Take them to a shop tomorrow and tell them you need rings. Theyll order them and should be in way before friday if a shop orders them. Should be next day maybe two.

Imo if you brought the wheels to a shop friday they would be on by now.

Not trying to hate. I just really want you to make sure its all dome right. Had you followed the advice given by others youd have hubrings for bmw wheels. Just dont want something to happen and your car take damage then you feel we are to blame.

There are plenty of members here who would shrug and say "why did you take advice from random people you dont know" after giving wrong info they thought was correct.

Nah they are not a pain in the ass. I haven't spent a dime extra on then than what i planned, I'm just trying to find the right part. I'm going to drop it off at custom wheel place tomorrow morning and just take the other car to work while they work on it and get it all set up right.

They look really good on the car and I am very pleased with them. If it takes a couple extra days to get a little adapter it's no big deal.

They do give performance gains on top end. For your everyday driving though I think it loses one to two and a half percent of performance under 4000 RPMs. But for the sound and top end performance, I'll take a couple horsepower loss from everyday driving. I don't want the car around anyways lol I'm actually very happy with it and I would recommend it to anybody if they are looking to kind of revive the sportscar fill out of the very quiet Acura. But then again a lot of people get the oil so they can have that refined quietness

Yes, but for daily driving, you want the bottom end power, as you are going from a start much more often than you are red lining. You need top end for the race track.

I agree. But can you honestly sit here and tell me that you're going to miss 2% overall horsepower for a quarter of the Rev range? I think the way it sounds plus the top end performance is worth losing a couple horsepower in the mid-range. But to each his own.

So what was the culprit? Did they have to make custom hubcentirc rings? How much did they cost?

Did not have to make custom ones thank God. I went with a 64.1 ID and a 72.62OD ....the OD is off by .06 but the guy said that since that's less than the size of a human hair does not make a difference. They were 24.95$

I have followed advice that pertains to me. ( as long as it's something I like ) ... not going to follow advice that makes me not like the car :,( ... i was putting that up for the people that say" without pics its worthless" or say " show pics to prove it" ....but anyways, the car runs great, no TCS light or anything still to this day. very happy.

do what you want, but your view is extremely biased. You will lose more than 2% power down low. And for normal driving around, you now have less torque and hp in the range you use most often, in order to gain some power at the very top, which, in an automatic car that weighs 4000 pounds and doesn't have much power to begin with, is kind of pointless.

The only gain you get is sound. But don't kid yourself in thinking your car is faster now. It's not.

Yeah I know it's not faster, i said the only thing that increased was based on the "Ear dyno" lol ... The E85 will def. make it faster and noticable, that's the next performance modification and I will be dyno tuning it with the charts.
