So I ended up getting dedicated snow tires rather than the Dunlop M3s (figured that since i will get summer tires for the other 3 seasons it made sense to get truly dedicated snows ratehr than "performance snows") and found out about Nokian Hakkapeliittas and got their RSi non-studded model.

This morn I got to try them out and they are amazing. I can't even begin to describe how much better the car is in snow compared to with the crappy OEM Michelins. Before I would fear the car would lose grip and slide out while driving in the snow (it has lost traction a few times on me when going in a straight line without touching the brake/gas) and driving in any amount of snow was a real event. Now with these babies I have mad confidence the car will be fine and only need to really worry about other drivers.

Anyone who is in areas that get snow and still is putting their life in danger with the OEM Michelins should really consider getting a set of snows. The car is totally transformed.

Oh and these Hakkas are quieter than the Michelins! Sad...

What size did you get? Narrower, like 225/55-17, or did you stick with the stock width?

yep 225/55/17. Using the OEM rims and need to try and dump those POS Michelin MXM4s.
