Seasonal Tires/Rims Transportation

Any issues transporting tires/wheels to the shop for seasonal changeover? Enough room in the RDX and keeping things clean? Any info appreciated.

You'll need to put the rear seats down and put a blanket or something over them, but all 4 wheel/tire combos will fit no problems in the back of an RDX. Typically I'll lay 2 flat on the floor/seatbacks, and the other two on top of them so they don't slide around. That config should not require you to put protection on the sides.....

What andysinnh said, and I use these tire totes for alternate sets of wheels/tires for transporting;

Amazon.com: Kurgo 00036 Seasonal Tire Tote, (Pack of 4): Automotive Amazon.com: Kurgo 00036 Seasonal Tire Tote, (Pack of 4): Automotive

You can also just put them in large garbage bags.

Thanks. I have the totes on my list. Note a much better price than at TireRack.

No problem. You can also get the felt covers if you want to protect the face of the wheel...

I have OEM cargo trays in the back of all three of my Acuras. I also purchased a 6X8 tarp, $12, Amazon the folds flat I keep under the cargo trays out of sight until needed.

Amazon link:
Grizzly Tarps 6-Feet X 8-Feet Blue Multi-Purpose 6ml Waterproof Poly Tarp Grizzly Tarps 6-Feet X 8-Feet Blue Multi-Purpose 6ml Waterproof Poly Tarp

Also comes in handy for spring time Home Depot runs with soil and bricks, cover muddy ground changing out flats, used as table cloth to cover a picnic table after a day hike, cover the back of the RDX for trash runs to the city dump, and wrapping mud covered tire before tossing in the rear after a flat.

I also have the tire totes. They are very handy and help keep the inside of my ride clean.

Great idea about storing spare tarp under the back cover.
Can see that it will help keep back clean as possible from all those dirty chores.
