I have a 2016 AWD RDX Adv on order. The salesperson mentioned, sort of in passing, that the RDX Adv only comes with one key capable of remote start and doors/hatch and one that operates just the doors and hatch, and that if we wanted, we could buy another capable of remote start for additional cost. Is that correct or is someone playing games with us? My 2015 MDX ADV/ENT came with 2 identical remotes both capable of remote start. All are factory installed.

I just checked my pair and only Driver 1 remote has the remote start feature. The second set is just for doors, trunk and panic.

This is correct. I'm deciding between coining up for the Advance or going with the dealer-installed remote start. Both Advance/dealer-option come with one remote start key fob and a regular key fob.

I always find it weird the difference between the same vehicles in different countries. I have a 2016 RDX Tech model here in Canada. In the US it's the Advance. Mine has standard electric folding mirrors, something that you can't even order. And here you get 2 remotes, both with remote start in them. I really don't get it.

Sucks that you don't get two fully functional remotes with the advance. All you can do is order a second fully functional remote which will run a couple hundred + dollars for remote, key, key cutting, and remote programming. Then you will have two "driver 1" remotes.

I'm amazed that the US-version Advance package doesn't come with electric folding mirrors but you get them in Canada? It seems like such a no-brainer option to have on such a quality vehicle no matter what country you buy it in!

The Canadian version has several features not available in USA.
