Car shaking and under brake weird feeling????

Hi everyone,

When I pressed the brake down , I felt a weird shake go throughout the whole car. I also hear a thut-thut-thut-thut sound along with the shaking? Anybody know why? Weather cold ? I might just tell the dealer too fix it.
Thanks

I had to change the rotors and pads on my 2013 at 34,000 miles. It got rid of the symptoms you describe.

Does the steering wheel shake hard also when braking? Warped rotors wouldn't do that. It could be a damaged control arm.

The abs can also cause a pulsating feeling and make noise.

nvm on the service sheet they said that they didn't notice any change or sounds , so they didn't do anything about the issue.

Lol is it only under braking? Is it through the peddle only or steering wheel?

If it's only under braking it will either be
A. Your front rotors and pads need to be replaced or something is seizing in the front brakes IF (it's through the steering wheel)

B. If you feel it through only the brake pedal there's something going on with the rear brakes. A slider could be seized or something like that.

You won't really notice these problems at low speeds but higher speeds when you need to press the brake more.

If convenient, I would try a different dealer. While it's possible, I highly doubt you have 4 warped rotors in 28K km. More than likely you have one or a pair. They may have loking to pad the service repair by having you okay work on both axles. In terms of warrany coverage, brakes are typically considered a wear item so it's not surprising they aren't covering it, but you could certainly raise a stink and see what happens.

I agree with NBP04TL4ME, about raising a stink and see what happens.
