2016 RDX AWD 20" TSW Wheels

A couple of quick photos of my 2016 RDX AWD with TSW Crowthorne 20x8.5 wheels on Nexen N5000 Plus P245/45ZR20 All Season tires.

I've had the car for a year and the wheels for 6 months. I'm very pleased with both. Will be adding roof rails soon.

Looks good! I like that rear corner shot of the tire where you can clearly see it puts a wider footprint down on the pavement. A much needed more aggressive look like our German counterparts. Do you notice any significant difference in handling, stopping, and ride with this tire setup versus the OEM?

The tires are very sticky and the ride is much sportier. It lost a lot of its softness but I prefer feeling connected to the road. Wheel slip under hard acceleration and tire roll in tight corners are nonexistent.

Wow, I really like it man! Looks 100000 times better than any of the oem options by a LONG shot. I also like that you went up to 245's (I would have done 255 because I love the fat wheel look, but this is close enough) and I would have also increased the width myself. It goes really well with the color and other accents on the car.

Thanks for posting the photos. One of the things I've noticed about the RDX is that on the rear, the wheels are a bit further in from the fender lip than on the front. It was because of this that I took the unusual step (call me crazy or stupid) of getting 35 mm offset wheels for the rear and standard 45 mm offset for the front. Also went with 255's all around (19 x 8.5" wheels) so I am praying that I hit the mark in terms of more closely lining up the wheel face to the fender lips, such as you'd see on most BMW SUVs. A wee little bit too far out and it looks ridiculous so when I go to install them, I will probably need to prepare by popping a Xanax. On the rear, the edge of the tire should now theoretically be 20 mm. out from where it was before. 10 on the front.
I can't wait till spring.

BTW your wheels were a decent choice for the RDX.

I like it. We need a company to offer lowering springs to eliminate some of the wheel gap. Then it'll have a much sportier look and feel
with less body roll.

Hey, I'm interested in the chrome trim on the rear and front bumper. Also, it looks like the front fog lights area is also chrome trimmed and the hole where the fog would be is covered by a nice piece of plastic. On my 2013 RDX Base the spot where the fog would be sits there rather ugly. Love what you did with yours.

Thanks.

Very clean and nearly factory OEM looking. I like the fitment I that the tires are not too wide or flush giving it that jacked up pickup truck with low profile wide wheel look, I hate that! This looks right for a 20" wheel.

Wheels look great! I just purchased a 2017 RDX with Tech Package and was looking to upgrade the wheels. Right now a local tire shop said I should look at TSW rims. I am leaning towards the Gatsby in Gunmetal (20 inch). This will be my first aftermarket rim so I am a little reluctant .

Those look great. What offset/backspacing is available for your chosen size? 35 will get the tires out a noticeable amount and they will line up closely with the wheel well lip at the top. 45 brings them in a bit but still out more than OEM.

according to TSW Website offset is 40 for the Gatsby 20. The OP's Crowthorn also had a 40 offset so assuming my set up would look close to his.

Sorry guys, haven't been on here in a while. I finally had the roof rails installed, and immediately regretted it. I hoped they would make the car look more aggressive, but they softened the look a little too much for my taste. I ended up selling the car shortly after. I've attached a couple of pictures taken with my phone a few weeks before I sold it. I have better photos I will upload later when I get to my home computer. I'll be posting the wheels and tires on the black market page soon.
