Does anyone know if the cross bars for the factory roof rails are adjustable and what is the maximum distance that can be gotten between them?

they are slightly adjustable, maybe 4 to 6 inches each direction. The roof tapers so the back bar is shorter than the front.

However, be warned that they "tilted" these slightly btwn the 2012 and newer to reduce wind noise and in my opinion they look bad. I have some pictures in another thread to see if anyone else has the same issue.

I installed the Yakima Whispbar cross bars and am very happy with them. They see quite solid and the airfoil shape is relatively quiet. The front-rear movement range is limited because of the significant amount of angle between the front to the rear of the side rails. With the Whispbar cross bars, I have tried the front bar all the way forward to about 6 inches back. That's about the limit of the telescoping end fittings.
