I would've loved to have seen saddle brown seats as an option - especially with the Amber Brownstone exterior. I'm sure I'll get flack for that comment! I know a lot of people hate saddle brown leather, but I absolutely love that look. Saddle brown with a black trim I think looks classy. I saw it on the 2013 Volvo S60 T5 the other day and it was hot.
It does sound like you might be best served with black interior since you will be collecting soil samples.

You would think the lighter color leather would appear overly aged sooner.. It wasn't the case with my silver '08 Tl Taupe interior though. The day I sold it the leather still barely looked worn even with 78k miles on it.

If you don't maintain your leather, creases and wrinkles appear much faster. The black leather looks awesome and hides dirt well but might encourage slacking on keeping up with leather conditioning. If you keep up with it though, your leather will be good for a long time.

That is a GREAT choice of color.....you will both be happy with it. It does make the RDX look very elegant and sophisticated in that color.

Looks like this color was a hit! Too bad they stopped selling it and changed it to Kona Coffee Metallic. In my opinion, kona is way too dark.

i know this is a really old topic, but i wanted to mention that i was asked recently if i would trade into a 14 or 15. a prospective RDX buyer saw mine and asked if it was available (as a used car) because he had been searching for a low mileage brownstone tech model. i'm sure sales was hoping for a 2 car deals at once. in the end, the deal fell through, but i'm not broken-hearted about it.
