2013 RDX AWD TECH - White Diamond Pearl

If I want a very spirited drive, I'll take the TL....If I feel a bit more mellow and want a very sophisticated (yet responsive) drive, then I'll take the TL. Its like asking if you like vanilla cake or chocolate cake....I guess you could get a marble cake but you get my drift *lol*

Well...I am not sure I would be as bold as saying take the TL over the RDX....They are BOTH amazing vehicles and are very different in their own way. I often can't wait to go out with the RDX because I just love how this vehicle handles, drives and its overall comfort. The TL is more of a looker thats for sure with the body kit and the handling is better but mainly because its lower to the ground, not as tall and has the SH-AWD....but one would never compare the handling of a sports sedan to a CUV. The RDX is a well executed vehicle and has alot to offer. Take both out and see what you like best. I am glad I don't have to chose which one I want to get *lol*

Yep...I'll do that tonight but if you are in the States, that will be of little value to you because the white is only available with a TAN interior while in Canada, black interior is available which is what I have. Do you still want me to proceed?

I'd like to know the width of the opening of the rear hatch and the length from the rear hatch to the driver/front passenger seats. I have two retired racing Greyhounds and I currently drive a VW Touareg. I'm curious to know how different the interior/cargo space is between the two vehicles. I'm looking to get something newer that fits the need for space and something more economical. I know the exterior dimensions are a difference of about 8 inches (24cm) but the cargo area looks pretty close. Thanks again.

fleuger99...No problem. I am sorry that I didn't get the measurements quicker to you. Jim, thanks for providing our new member with the info he needed.
terdonal...Thanks my friend! There is no doubt that BOTH vehicles offer tremendous pleasure. I feel like a polygamist with respect to cars

Hey Jim....
I agree that seen side by side (and the pictures don't do this justice), the difference between the Bellanova White and the White Diamond is quite noticeable. I am not sure which one I like best to be honest....some days, I love the pearly white more than the "whiter" white of the TL, and then some days, its the other way around. Either way, for me, I love how white vehicles look when factoring the black contrast with the trims/tires etc.
Don't regret your RDX though, it is a very sharp looking ride.....

^^ Are you referring to swapping the wheels between the TL and the RDX?

I am not sure.....I never tried or considered doing so. I think the TL would look hideous with these wheels

Back to the White Diamond Pearl...has anyone noticed the mirrors to be more yellow than the body of the vehicle? Ours is only two months old, so I don't think any 'exposure' issues are at work. I'm going to have a clay and wax done next week, so I'll get a really good look at it/them. It's just 'off' enough that admiring the clean vehicle makes you tilt your head and say "Errr?" .

I too am a firm believer in Collinite 845 Insulator wax. Been using it for about 14 years now. At minimum twice a year.
And he's right, waxing it yourself gives you the opportunity to find flaws or chips that need repair.

Hey everyone...Thanks for the positive comments and as I said, these pics don't truly show how great this vehicle looks in person. I'll try and get some better pics when I am back from my business trip. I applied a nice coat of wax on it and then topped it off with the insulator wax (Collinite)...that stuff is simply amazing! I use the step 2 (Mothers - Scealer and glaze) to bring teh shine and give it a very smooth finish and then apply that Collonite to give it a beading factor like you would not believe....those 2 used together has given me the best possible combo in my opinion.
I can't wait to take the RDX to a nice spot and take better pictures to truly show how great this vehicle is
DateTSX...You are correct, I am a huge WHITE fan when it comes to my cars because nothing is more sharp than a clean white car.

Thanks for the kind words. I agree that White is a nice color but after seeing the Basque Red in person, I can say that it is an excellent choice and sure brings elegance to the vehicle. I love different colors but when it comes time to sign on the contract, Ialways go for the white. Conservative I would say but given how these Acuras are babied, white makes perfect sense

^^ *LMAO* In many ways, its actually better than showrooms vehicles! I have seen some pretty dirty wheel wells in showrooms, mainly because some of the cars have been test driven in the rain....Oh the horror
In any event, the RDX needed a mini scrub as it had gone out a few times this winter (when the roads were dry) but as you know, they put lots of sand on the roads here so it was getting a bit dusty.
The TL is MINT as well.....I am so anxious for the snow to melt completely so I can resume normal driving and not be limited to early morning hours when the roads are dry, or late at night. By 10am, the melting is in full swing and there is runoffs everywhere...

In my opinion I think white and black are the best colours for the exterior, red looks like what an old person would get, black and white is more sharp looking.

UPDATE.....The RDX has found a new home!! The dealer has found a buyer for the RDX and it will no longer be in the household. It was a great little SUV/CUV but I am not sad to see it go. It also appears I have someone quite interested in my TL too....So I'll go from 2 Acura (2012 & 2013) to none! But thats OK, Acura is quite happy to see their enthusiast go by the way side.
