HID for DRL
Hi, new guy in town here.
Got my RDX back in May. Want to upgrade the DRL but not sure what is the best in the market.
Much appreciate for all the ideas and helps.

Wow, no one has any info for the DRL replacement with HID ?
The reason I asked because most of the threads that related to DRL or Fog lights are using LED. And LED in DRL does not perform well in high beam, which something I don't want to loose.
I did some searching on the web but wasn't sure because RDX parts are still "NOT recognized or Approved" by consumers like us.
So, any info out there is/are much appreciated, in advance.

DRL and high beam are on same bulb. When high beam is not turned on, only very small voltage goes through the circuit and produces a very dim light as DRL.
Being said, if you replace it with HID, it won't work. When you turn on high beam, it will work since then there is enough juice to light up the HID bulb.
DRL is 9005.

I have heard of LEDs used for both DRL and High Beams in the 4G TL section. I'd have to do some digging on the brand and model.
Most people run LED's because they don't need them as bright as their headlights but to also get rid of the dingy white. Not many run HIDs for DRL's.

You could run DRL and high beam with HID.
1. You will need to find out the voltage the car is sending to the DRL.
2. Wire up the HID kit with a relay switch that is designed to work with voltages between 12V and what you measured when the car runs the DRL.
3. Blind everyone that drives by as you are now running high beams in broad daylight.
