Bumper protector 2013 RDX?
Can someone please recommend a bumper protector/cover for the front and rear bumpers? Wife has a tendency to scratch up the bumpers and I want to get ahead of it. Don't want anything to ugly like those bumper bibs/bullys.
Is there something clear that can be stuck on like for the door edges? I'm not against a metal grill as long as it's minimal.
Thanks!

Acura already has a rear bumper film protector that cover the top of the rear bumper for protection while loading/unloading stuff from the back. That one wraps a over the top edge and protects maybe an inch of the rear face of the bumper. I have it, it's nice for what it does.
You may want to look into 3m film, invisible shield protection from a local aftermarket accessory/tint shop.

I don't think that the clear film for the door edges or rear bumper ledge is what Greg2012 has in mind since he's talking about the front bumper. I think something like those rubber bumper strips that can be cut to size is the type of protection he's looking for.

Ok, I put on the door edge guards this weekend and they came out well.
There are several videos on youtube with instructions, but I like this one:
The only things I would change from the video would be to only pull off part of the backing to start and I like to tape down the top, bottom and sharp turns for a few hours. Once again, rubbing alcohol works fine for the pre-clean.
Front doors need a piece of material 32" and rear doors 18" - these measurements leave some extra length to work with.
I have way too much left over, so if anyone wants a cheap kit, I can do these prices shipped/Paypal:
150 inches, enough to do all four doors and re-do 1 front and 1 rear $6.50
200 inches, enough to do all four doors and re-do all four doors $8.50
Pm me and I'll send over my my email if interested.

I wonder about this as another option, which might work well on darker colored vehicles:

My wife just did some damage to the front bumper. Luckily it was the black plastic part that housing the fog light. So it kinds of invisible. Too bad, they don't make bra for the RDX like others.

I've been giving this a lot of thought... I think that I've found nice tasteful double chrome bars for the touché end. I'm concerned that they may bolt on where the trailer hitch might go on. I haven't talked to the vendor yet.
For the front, I'm vacillating between a "bull Bar" and nothing. I think a plastic nose across the hood to deflect rocks might be mandatory as I am a confessed "tailgater". I have a white RDX and I'm afraid the black hood nose piece will stick out like a sore Richard.
Only thing for sure at this time is the chrome bars for the rear and the clear stuff for the edge of the hatch. I already bought the clear or I would use the black solid J.C. Whitney piece suggested by another poster here. In the end... I'll most likely end up with the J.C. Whitney rubber piece.... And the "Mad Max" Bull Bar.

I'm waiting on the installation instructions for the above bar and one other from Vanguard. they seem reasonably priced. + or - of $200. I want to be sure the new bumper bar does not bolt on the same bolts as does the trailer hitch.
The people, so far, that I have corresponded with from Vanguard, don't seem to know which end is up. I don't want to buy it and have to pay to have the heavy S.O.B shipped back. I want to be able to use the trailer hitch to tow my boat if needed.
I am going with a bull bar for the front.

After 3 requests with no response.... I gave up. I was afraid that their bumper guard would use the trailer towing bolts location. I needed to leave that area open to add a trailer hitch for my pontoon boat.
I bought a used pristine fancy GEM Car golf cart (Google is your friend) and needed to tow it back 200 miles from central Florida. So, I bought a hitch assembly from Amazon and installed it. After installing the hitch assembly, I can't see how the bumper could be installed without using the hitch mounting location. Maybe by using longer bolts for both in the same location?
There is a Big Ass 2 inch trailer ball hooked to the hitch bar sticking out about six inches on the rear now. I was going to take it off after towing the GEM Car home last month. I'm going to leave it on until the Snow Turds go home in May. I watched one lady with NY plates bump into a new Toyota in Publix today.... and just drive away. I put a note on the Toyota windshield with the perpetrators license number and my phone.

Weathertech just came out with these bumper protectors to fit in a trailer hitch. Just have to use a locking pin to prevent theft.
