CR-V Conversation Mirror conversion

CR-V Conversation Mirror conversion
Has anyone installed the conversation mirror from a CRV into a 2013 RDX?
I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a change in 2013.
The Acura part and the Honda part are very similar.

So I think I'm going to order 83250-T0A-A01ZB from honda. Any opinions?

This is probably the best write up I've found.
http://www./forums/showthread.php?t=31351
essentially the CR-V has a little mirror in with the sun-glass holder that you can use to view the kids (or in my case dog) in the back seat. Unfortunately this is not an option in the RDX.
I have heard about a lot of people buying them or equiped cars and moving them over. I make an assumption that the 2012/2013 CR-V has the same interior lamp housing as the RDX and there for this can swap over fairly easily. I am wondering if anyone has done it.

Well, you asked for "opinions" so here is mine, FWIW: I don't think there is enough information provided in the diagrams to tell if it would work. You have to know about the housing dimensions, subassemblies, how the mounting holes line up, and other issues. Based on what I've been able to research, I'd be surprised if it could be done. And the part numbers are different, so no hint there. I wonder if the colors match….
I couldn't make your link to the write-up (your 2nd message) work--I get a "server not found" message. However, I found a video on YouTube about installing the Conversation Mirror from an Odyssey into a Ridgeline. If you watch that video you can get a feel for what is involved.
They don't just pull the little sunglass holder out and pop the conversation mirror in; they replace the housing that the sunglass holder fits in--appears to be the same kind of part that you referenced.
The two housings used in the video appear to have the same form factor (width & length & depth) to fit in the "hole" neatly as a direct replacement. Also, the holes for the mounting screws appear to be in the same positions.
In the video it appears that they pop out the lamp & lens/switches subassembly from the old housing and snap them into the new one, a simple task--but would that subassembly be interchangeable between the CR-V and RDX housings?
HOWEVER--if you want to buy the Honda part and see if it works, please post on here how it comes out.
I wonder why Acura did not just include a Conversation Mirror in the new RDX to begin with.

Roebuck, I agree that there is a bit of assumption in my post.
From the other Honda-Honda conversions and Honda -Acura conversions my assumptions that the parts are interchangeable is at least close.
I did answer when the 2013 CR-V trim part has only one part number. It only comes in black.
I've ordered a gray mirror from a 2011 CR-V. I will report back when it is in hand.

Not yet. It was a Christmas present so I was a bit delayed.
I ordered the part out of a 2011 CR-V because the 2012+ is black trim only.
The 2011 part# 83250-T0A-A01ZB does NOT fit.
I will go back and order the 2012 part in black and see if it fits. If it does my wife will have to decide if we keep it black or try to paint it or something.
2012 part # is 83250-T0A-A01ZA
For the record Honda and Acura both call this part of the interior light.
I am unhappy with how Hondapartsnow.com handled the return of original part. Saying they refused because it was past 15 days. I want to do an exchange, not a direct return.

BTW - I am selling the 2011 Honda part, and looking to buy the 2012 Honda part 83250-T0A-A01ZA.
I will not be buying from www.Hondapartsnow.com
I will update again after it arrives.
