Odessy swap

Odessy swap
My 01 CL-S auto. has 169k on her now,& after having my son run the vin through the Acura dealership that is owned by the same folks that own the Chevy dealership he works for,I know it is the original one that came with the car(lucky me!!).Although it is working like a champ,I am going to start getting everything needed for a oddesy swap. I would really like to talk in depth with someone who has done this swap.I cant see a mini-van tranny hittin as hard as the tranny thats in the car now! From all I have researched,I am on borrowed time right now.I plan on making some decent power with this car in the near future(400hp give or take)& want to make sure thetrans &axels will hold up.If anyone would like to fill me in with the 411,I would really appreciate it!

talk to NVA-AV6. he did my swap. hes the one who pioneered this whole swap on acurazine. i was one of the first if not the first on this forum to have this swap done and havent had any complaints since. i was S/C'd btw with over 40k miles put on it.

Thanks,I left him a message,so I hope to hear back from him soon.I see that you are in Jacksonville,is he in Florida too??Also, how does the car shift for you?I know the fluid pressure can be adjusted to a certain degree, but always wondered how hard a mini-van trans can hit.Do you have it gone through prior to the swap? There is a trans. shop near me that builds bad-ass racing transmissions,(monster transmission),but not sure if they beef up import tranny's.They did a powerglide for a buddy of mine & it was on the money!Anyway, thanks for the info, talk to you later,Allen

Could a swap be done without taking it to a shop, is it as simple as dropping the tranny and swapping sensors and what not, then plug and play?
I work at an auto recycler and often find that many of my customers can't afford a rebuild on their CL, or even their TL's and have to junk them. If i were to take their core's and swap the stuff, could i save them money? Is that easy? I drive a CL myself and will probably need to replace my little tranny in about 20K.
Thank you for your help.

I am in the same boat with my sons CL. I have located a couple tranny's out of Oddy's. I have PM'd NVA-AV6 and have received an answer. However, since I am new to the forum, I need to post a few times before I can continue to PM.
